Wookiee Ceremony, and the True Meaning of Life Day, and its Potentially Neoconservative Agenda, Revealed |
For some reason, there is a giant ceremony hall full of Wookiees. C-3PO and R2-D2 are also there. Why? Threepio appears to have shown up to translate the stupid happenings of this Wookiee celebration. While this may be a dumb reason to have him hanging out there for no good reason, one wonders why he couldn't have been at the Wookiee residence earlier for this same reason. R2-D2 seems to be there because he likes to be around Threepio.
Threepio expresses that they wish they were alive to share these feelings with everyone. This is particularly insulting to the viewer who, by this point, most likely wishes they were dead.
"Please allow me to try and explain the meaning of this messed up Wookiee holiday."
Leia, Han and Luke come out of the woodwork to announce how they feel. Leia decides to take the floor and give an uplifting speech. "This holiday is yours but, we all share with you the hope that this day brings us closer to freedom, and to harmony, and to peace. No matter how different we appear, we're all the same in our struggle against the powers of evil and darkness. I hope that this day will always be a day of joy in which we can reconfirm our dedication and our courage. And more than anything else, our love for one another. This is the promise of the Tree of Life."
Apparently it is a great tradition of Life Day to have some jerk get on some hippie bullshit.
