Glad to say that I read about Chefelf's "Reasons to Hate TPM" in Entertainment Weekly, about the time AOTC came out (May 2002). A grace thing really.
I felt the same way of course, and hope you do too-
or at least think it through. :) - Country:

I'm watching the Dem's Iowa Debate from yesterday (I'm trying to watch them all this year, to be more of an Educated voter, you know) and I find myself shouting at the cspan real player window: "Shut up Bitch!".
Now I'm usually a little more open minded and willing to give the Libs a listen. I still attest that I'm better qualified to understand what they are Really saying than their average constituent, but that's what a raised eyebrow does to ones outlook.
Is anybody here really excited about Mrs. Clinton? Her delivery is at least mildly grating, and I just had to pause and make note of it. Of course I can't trust her as far as I can fart. But I'm not her target audience.
How do you good people feel about her style of delivery? Doesn't work for me.

Rifftrax now has the MST3K treatment for the SWHS. They suggest you search google video for their 2 hour synched track (with commercials). I've not seen it or heard it, but I did find a funny SWHS in 5 minutes which ought to be required viewing for anyone who still thinks SW is somehow sanctified. -
I hate America
Posted 5 Dec 2007
I hate America. If this were a better country, I could earn enough money to leave it. Of course, then it wouldn't be such a bad country as I couldn't complain about how I couldn't earn money.
I hate America. If this were a better country, I could determine who gets to be in power and we wouldn't need anyone else's input as to who would be in charge. Dictatorships rule.
I hate America. If this were a better country, we would not have a writer's strike and therefore be able to continue giving the rest of the world quality programs that they prefer. Of course, we have 11 more months of political discussion ahead and the world seems interested enough in that. If we were a better country, nobody would pay attention to our processes as well as our entertainment.
I hate America. Why don't we do something about global warming besides bring up the fact that major polluters which are undeveloped countries will never do anything to correct their contributions to the problem. If we were undeveloped, we could also take the high ground in doing nothing.
I hate America. The plugs aren't powerful enough even though I can watch tv, type on a computer and play my video games. And what's with the two prong plugs? Every time I come to this country to do whatever it is that's important enough for me to be here I have to remind myself: I hate America.
I hate America. It's more than a slogan, it's an attitude that makes me feel earnest and virtuous. I'm a little red dot in a big blue state. If I'm a female priest and I want to marry a lesbian deacon, I want to be able to rub it in the faces of 350 million people and I can't because the vast right-wing conspiracies are keeping me down.
I hate America. All those darned Mexicans must be pretty stupid alright. Coming here for a better life? Don't they know that they're actually bettering our country and therefore reducing the nation status of Mexico? Now There's your land of opportunity.
I hate America. But I do want to be more popular around here, so let me say it again. I hate America. -
English is just alright with me.

I got this in an email, and would like to share. It could be a hoax; it certainly doesn't seem real...
33 Senators Voted Against English as America's Official Language June 6,
2007

Senators,
Your vote against an amendment to the Immigration Bill 1348, to make
English America's offical language is astounding. On D-Day no less when we
honor those that sacrificed in order to secure the bedrock character and
principles of America. I can only surmise your vote reflects a loyalty to
illegal aliens.
I don't much care where you come from, what your religion is, whether
you're black, white or some other color, male or female, democrat,
republican or independent, but I do care when you're a United States
Senator, representing citizens of America and vote against English as the
official language of the United States.
Your vote reflects betrayal, political surrender, violates your pledge of
allegiance, dishonors historical principle, rejects patriotism, borders on
traitorous action and, in my opinion, makes you unfit to serve as a United
States Senator... impeachment, recall, or other appropriate action is
warrented.
Worse, 4 of you voting against English as America's official language are
presidential candidates: Senator Biden, Senator Clinton, Senator Dodd, and
Senator Obama.
Those 4 Senators vying to lead America but won't or don't have the courage
to cast a vote in favor of English as America's official language when 91%
of American citizens want English officially designated as our language.
This is the second time in the last several months this list of Senators
have disgraced themselves as political hacks... unworthy as Senators and
certainly unqualifed to serve as President of the United States.
If America is as angry as I am, you will realize a back-lash so stunning it
will literally rock you out of your panties... and preferably, totally out
of the United States Senate.
The entire immigration bill is a farce.. your action only confirms this
really isn't about America; it's about self-serving politics... despicable
at best.
