I've died at least 10 times and I'm only at level 11. I'm on my second planet, first planet of choice that is, Nar Shaddar. I think it's a fine game.
I was very pleased to see that my female Jedi from the last game was also in this one!
I'm a bit pissed off with the bad reviews it got. I'm having a blast right now. Sure it was not AS GOOD! But come on, part of the brilliance of the first game was the engine, it's now passe.

I take back every thing I said. This game is crap. The ending is VERY disappointing, the storyline made no sense whatsoever! I never understood what the main plot line was. Numerous loose ends never explained along side useless characters (what was the point of darth nihlis?, who was he, what did he do?) and you got one big mess to try sort out.
The ending was the worst for me. When it happened, I actually laughed. I could not believe it! So many loose ends left undone, what crap.
After I hit level 17, I could not die. All I needed to do was run away from combat and stab my self with boosters and force power (heal, meditiation etc..), then run back and kill everything in one second.
The side characters all sucked. Boring and dull. MIra died, could not have cared less. The only side character I liked was manadalore. The idea of siding with the mandalorians was great, but it petered off into boresville, along with the rest of the game.
F- is my final grade.

Is he as kick-ass in the second game?

Though the HK protocol droid override was quite fun

The sordid side must emerge though... After the second area that I ended up on, I still didn't have a lightsaber. Unlike the events in KOTOR, after Taris, you got the lightsaber! In KOTOR 2, I had to do too much stuff just to finally get some pieces to put a lightsaber together. The characters that you meet up with in KOTOR 2 are not as influential as those in the first. Darth Scion (is that the car company owned by Toyota?) and Darth Nihilus look cool as Hell! what a concept! But wait, hang on, when are they going to do something cool?
After playing a bit of this game and losing patience with it rather quickly, I was wondering if it would be best to start over and become a Sith instead and maybe things would move at a faster pace. I don't think that would help here. Unlike KOTOR, I shaved about three hours off of my play time when I chose the dark side as opposed to my light side alliance.
My opinion, this game should have been set at a much later time, not 4-5 years after Revan. Revan was friggin' awesome! Let there be a time of peace and saftey after Revan, then someone can come along and claim bad-@ss of the galaxy and start trouble again. Where did Revan go to anyway?!

I disagree with you there, as the immediate consequences of Revan's doings shall play fundamental role in the plot. You'll see it when you've completed it.

I'll play this crap some other time, ...if ever. This game isn't holding my interest as much as the first game did.
Oh and a shout out to Helena and Jordan, your points are well taken on this one. David-kyo, maybe I'll complete this game someday...

The last level on this game was very weak! Before facing off with Sion, I mopped everyone up without a problem. I liked the Star Forge level a lot more in KotOR 1. The enemies were endless in that level, and you got to get your custom robes too. I gave "Revan" robes to myself of course and Bastilla, and I had HK-47 tag along with us! That level was a lot of fun. And although there were three of us there, we got the crap beat out of us a number of times!
As for Treya's Accademy.... No dark Jedi or "Sith Lord" stood a chance against me. I was sitting at a level 43 consular/Sith Lord/Jedi Master and just a few force powers used and the entire room is dead. As Vader once said, "All to easy." And what was the meaning of the ending?
I will say the characters were cool in this game, (no Carth) Visas was probably my favorite. And yes, Sailor Abbey, it was a lot of fun turning all of your team into Dark Jedi.
And what's with the Bao-Dur reference to Darth Maul when you get him evil? When did he have time to get Sith tattoos?
Nihilus had a cool mask, but didn't do anything. However, Sion was awesome! Too bad we didn't see him do to much.

As for the ending, some people are pulling out all the missing dialouge from the game to fix that up and hopefully make it make some sense.

So when a Zabraak turns to the dark side, they get intricate, black, tattoos all over them now? Not much of a tattoo if it grows on you naturally. Tigers and Zebras aren't tattooed, stripes grow on them.
Maul got the tattoos to compliment his animal-like ferocity and his devotion to the dark side.
Ugh, I don't want to ramble about this...
