silver surfer,,.nope never played it,.but from the sounds of it..sounds like some crap that LJN put out. they are known for producing a host of crappy NES titles.

Turns out that AVGN bloke once did a review of that game sometime. Basically reached the same conclusion as I: too goddamn hard and frustrating.

There's an Asterix game on the Master System, where the third level boss is technically impossible. You start facing a large Roman legionnaire, both walking on a log. Then the log rolls backwards, you smash into a wall, and you die. And no button that exists changes this. It really pissed me off when I was 10, and now I have a Master System again I'm keeping an eye out for it to see which was true:
-Said game was impossible
-I was even more gormless than now, when I was 10
When you lose your calm, you feed your anger.

Ok, I just remembered one that I had tried to block out of my mind forever and ever because it did not so much kill my little 9 year old gaming ego as it did beat it over the head with a sledgehammer covered in barbed wire before proceeding to rape it in the eye socket.

I distinctly remember destroying at least two controllers while playing it, and ended up selling it because I couldn't TAKE THE HEAT.

I'd probably like to go back and try it now that my 1337 5k!11z have been honed to near perfection by the likes of Battletoads and Ghosts n' Goblins, but that would run a severe risk of bringing back the horrible memories of childhood trauma this game put me through.

Oh yeah, I remember the Rayman games being ridiculously hard, so I didn't waste my time with them much.

everytime someone even remotely mentions TMNT for NES,.it always conjures mental imagery of either Christian Slater bragging about this game in the 1989 film "The Wizard" or Youtube's Angry Nintendo Nerd review for this game.

Super Mario 64. I have finished it but I will never be able to get all the stars and see Yoshi.

Jaws on the NES. Actually killing Jaws takes precision timing. If you fail, you get to go back to fishing, set back a bit of course. Arghgh

I could do that by myself when I was 8.

Anybody ever play the South Park game? That got hard. Even with infinite health and ammo, it took me a good 15 minutes to kill the final boss.
