QUOTE (barend @ Dec 21 2004, 11:53 PM)
too many people think not paying for shit is a victimless crime... it's not.
my greivance isn't with MP3s its with the hypocritical attitude of 'fuck every one who isn't me'... that everyone has. it's sociopathic solipsism!!!

Unfortunatly, its also human nature...

Here's a comic I drew up on the subject featuring me and my friends.

Am I going to have to make a mildly comical, yet bizarre comic on The Pirates of The Internet?
Hey, maybe we can start something in the Screening Room. Anyone else bored enough to give it a go?

The thing is, unless you're a really popular major artist, you're not going to get jack anyway. They make all their money in merchandise. And when I pirate music, I usually do it just to see if I like the band. If I do, I buy the CD when I amass enough money and decide I really want to spend that much on music. Thankfully, when you can find lesser known artists, the music is usually cheaper, because the price setters are stuck on the wrong end of the supply-demand curve (one of the few places left where it sometimes actually still applies).
