An all-out fight to the death...again!
(Ok, somebody else get the bloody pictures, there's too much crap in google image search for "vampire"...)

The alien is the zombie and the vampire the predator
ZOmbie's can only win with numbers. Vampires Can only win with strength.
Both aliens and Zombies seem to fall apart with ease when shot at.

How would either side win? They'd just keep gnawing and clawing at each other ad infinitum.
But if you're not looking at it from the perspective of "which one would kill the other first" but instead "which side would benefit more," then I guess zombies would have to win. There's not much in it for the vampires, since zombies haven't got much blood left to speak of, but presumably the vampire still has a brain, albeit an old and dusty one, but the zombie could still probably make a decent lunch of it.
...
:yuck:

Remember Emu's face, people; one day it's going to be on the news alongside a headline about blowing some landmark to smithereens, and then we can all sigh and say, "She was such a normal person".....
....We'd be lying though.

vampires are only outranked by a few rare creatures.
zombies, are animated dead. there are two types we are familiar with.
1. the type that just need to be killed agian, like a normal human, who is really slow.
2. the types that need to be dismembered (sometimes even burnt)
[the second variety, being only around when it is not really a zombie but in fact a deamon possesed corpse - and therefore does not fit the catigory].
A vampire is imune to the ill effects of a zombie, and cannot be converted. however a zombie is not imune to having its head ripped off by a vampire!!! (bitting won't do anything) In fact I'm quite possative that vampire may even be quite capable of controlling a zombie...
so i think that question has been answered!!!

How about this one, oh Guru: It's a lich master versus a Grue, but the lich master can see kind of in the dark. However, any minions he summons can not. I know Grue's aren't undead, but I'm curious as to your take on the situation.
Yep... way too many Rogue-likes for me...

well, a lich need not be strictly a necromancer, and any rate should be able to cast some manner of light spell to put the grue on the run leaving it open... needless to say anything turning it's back on a lich hasn't much time to live.
and no, a vampire would have a pretty shitty time fighting a lich, before anyone asks!!!

Ahhhhh, but you'll recall in Night Of The Living Dead, they do resort to burning and dismembering the zombie corpses to ensure that they don't come back. I think the same can be said for Return Of The Living Dead, but there was that one torso-only zombie that they spoke with, so I'm not sure on that...
Also, Janey, there should've been a neutral answer, like "Lemur!" or something, because I really don't know if a vampire vs zombie duel would result in a clear winner.

it's important to make sure, but hard to tell... return of the living dead was a comedy and only really note worthy for:
1. being funny
2. making a reference to NOTLD
3. killing the same two catalist characters in 1 and 2 (i don't remember if they were in 3 or not)
4. typical 80s horror token female nudity! (know as T8HTFN)
there would be a clear winner to BTW!
after the Vamp ripps apart the Zom.

But were it an endless tide of zombies (say 250-500), then bye bye vampers...

However, the vampires would realize how cool some of the key pirates were, and while snacking on the crew, would opt to turn some of the officers. So the winners would be the vampires, sure, but among them would be several vampire pirates.
So it's a draw.
