Which PT character would you kill off?

I believ there should be a choice for all of them, since most of you people hate the Prequels anyway, and most of you would be voting Jar Jar.
I admit, I dislike Jar Jar, but more in the execution of the character rather than the character itself (clumsy, bungling, cartoonish, voice, animation). I can't understand why or how someone would want to eliminate Anakin.

My vote to kill off Qui-gon was not a stunt to further boost my reputation as an iconcoclast, but to strike GL in the heart. GL loves the torment that JarJar causes in SW fans. He relishes it, it let's him know that it's still his baby, and he makes the rules, not the fans.
He throws Qui-Gon to the fans as a bone, as a peace offering for his betrayal with JarJar. the pure Qui-Gon character, with his nostalgic devotion and mastery of the force is the retro counter to the CGI cartoon deviation marketing ploy known as JarJar. I will kill Qui-Gon and end the balance of the character force in TPM, throwing GL's first episode into a spin...
Qui-Gon offsets JarJar, I will offset GL!

WoW! SPQR....what a breath of fresh air. Very interesting way to look at it and ill have to agree. Qui-Gon is GL's cheap token offering to fans. Insted of giving them an interesting character, he gives us a boring stereotypical jedi as if to say "fuck it, risk anything else and these B#@$H A@# fans will complain...HAHA yes I'll give'em what they deserve."

If you take the Anakin character out of the story, you lose about 90% of the connection to the original trilogy. Yes, there still are Palpatine, Yoda, and Obi Wan running around but in the first two cases the PT characters are different enough from the OT characters that you can imagine they are different people. As for Obi Wan, then the movies are about some minor adventures Obi Wan got himself into before he met Anakin.
Anakin's only actualy contribution to the story in TPM is blowing up the droid control ship, since this was the most ridiculous part of the movie you just replace it with a more believable resolution. OK, and you cut out the entire Tatooine sequence, Padme gets taken straight to Coruscent. TPM is recut into an hour-and-a-half movie about the rescue of a space princess, that can be shown on TV as a pilot for a series that never gets made.
Anakin makes no contribution to the plot in AOTC, what there is of it. Without him the movie still stinks, but you lose Christiansen's "acting" and the romance scenes. You still get a movie left, that is not quite as painful to watch. It can be the pilot for another cancelled TV series, with lower ratings than the TPM series.
And ROTS becomes the dream sequence in some experimental art film.
Alot of the reason these movies are so offensive is their purported connection to three movies that are either quite good or classics. Lose Anakin, lose the connection and you just get some bad scifi, actually mediocre scifi in the case of TPM.

If there was an "other" option I'd vote Darth Nooooooooooo
Since there isn't, Jar Jar. For those who argue Qui Gon was a wise Jedi, why the hell did he bring Jar Jar along in Mos Espa when he clearly served no purpose, and Qui Gon said "We need to remain conspicious" Not only does the frickin moron make an ass of himself in Watto's shop, he also starts a fight with Selbulba right after that.....Yet he's still allowed to tag along and remind us why TPM is the worst Star Wars movie made

Michel, don't you know?
Qui-Gon brought Jar Jar so the desert wind would dry up his amphibian flesh and kill him. , so he was very miffed when Anakin offered all of them shelter.

I too voted Qui-gon, but not because he's an idiot, but because he is the cause of several inconsistances in the series, mostly the whole thing that Yoda was supposed to train Obi.
And as long as we're on Qui-Gon, why does everyone think it's such a redicoulus name? It's no worse than Obi-Wan or Yoda. I think it fits in well with the other SW names. I think everyone hates it cause they get too carried away in bashing the PT, and start to look for anything and everything to bash.

I'd take out Lama su and Tan we from Episode 2. They are so slow they make me want to pull my hair out. As long as we are on the topic, I'd probably take out Zam Wessel, and I guess the whole planet of Geonises, Separatists and all. ( Except Dooku. I really feel that Christopher Lee made somethin out of nothin with that role. To bad he had to meet yet another death at the beginning of a third installment of a trilogy)
