Nintendo just released the Gameboy Classic Series for the Gameboy Advance.

Here are the games:

Legend of Zelda
Super Mario Brothers
Ice Climber
Xevious
Bomberman
Pac Man
Excitebike

Now, don't get me wrong... those are all good games but some of the games I think could have been left off. Namely Donkey Kong and Pac Man which weren't even original NES games.

Where is Castlevania? Double Dragon? Mega Man? These are the games that defined the NES! These are the games I want to play on my GBA (the GBA that I have, in my mind).

I dunno. It's a great idea but I hoped that their classics line would be a little deeper than it is.

I've owned, and gotten rid of a GBA already. They're barely even worth having, in my opinion. Nintendo has lost its touch.

I think they don't have those titles out for the GBA yet because of copyright issues. Right now, they can only release the games that they have full control of. Who knows? Maybe they'll release those titles...

Anyways, the Megaman series is releasing an Anniversary collection either this month or next month which is both for the PS2 and GC, with all the NES titles from 1 to... X I think?
They're also releasing a GBA version of the collection, but I think it only had the Gameboy Megaman games on it.

I don't know a lot, but I WILL get it... wub.gif

Really? I've been wanting one for a while now.

Yeah, I figured as much but, you know, just fix it! Resolve the stupid copyright issues and make a complete lineup of games. I'm not knocking those other games... I rather enjoy some of them but this is a shabby "Classic NES" lineup. Zelda and Mario are, obviously, necessities. What about the best games though?

Here's what the lineup should be:

Super Mario Bros 1-2 (3 is already out).
Legend of Zelda (NOT ZELDA 2  )
Mega Man 1-3
Kid Icarus
Wizards & Warriors
Ghosts N' Goblins
Castlevania 1-3
Mike Tyson's Punch Out (Or the version without Mike Tyson)
Metroid
Ninja Gaiden
Pro Wrestling
Contra

Just to name a few.

Was the orrigional Final Fantasy on the NES by any chance?
The Green Knight, SimeSublime the Puffinesque, liker of chips and hunter of gnomes.

Bubble Bobble (most annoying but lovable music, most levels ever in a game)

Ice Hockey (three types of player: fat, medium, and skinny)

Ninja turtles 2 (super fun)

Blaster Master ( you could drive a tank in some levels, yay)

Metroid (best sidescroll shooter)

Bionic Commando ( you had a bionic arm, and lots of guns)

Hey Jordan, Metroid: Zero Mission is a remake of the original game if I'm not mistaken.
