I don't know when you go/went to high school but when I went in the very very early nineties there were a lot of preps. It was fun watching them all morph into grunge guys as soon as Nirvana hit it big. Jackasses.

theres just as many now as there were back then. what surprises me the most is their immunity to school law. they could be wearing a bikini, while someone who isn't active in at least three school clubs/activities would get expelled for revealing their neck or toes.

We don't really have this in Australia so I need to say, Chefelf you're being pollist!!!! I can only make an informed contribution from what I've seen in movies and that's going to completely ruin what little credibility I have.

Nah, they've just changed the witch hunt to "terrorists" and copyright infringers.

Which reminds me, did America ever give a formal apology to all the communists and communist sympathizers in the states? I mean it was a veritable witch hunt.
What confuses me about the US is how everyone idealizes Democracy and Capitalism while secretly knowing they'll never be millionaires and that mob rule is about the stupidest concept for gvernment that ever there was. Add to which, in movies like IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE and A CHRISTMAS CAROL, just about everone sides with the Communists and really hates the money-grubing bastards. And yet all it took was one senator making a bogus claim about people exercising their right to free assembly and suddenly the whole nation was spooked.
It's a truly enigmatic society you got there.

Thanks sinister. I need that this morning. This is one of the funniest things I believe I've read.
