I don't know how many people here have seen the webcomic DM of the Rings (if you haven't, go and read it now. It's great). Anyway, someone else is now making a similar comic - Darths & Droids - for the Star Wars movies, starting with TPM. There's only one strip up so far, but it looks like it's going to be good - I just hope they don't end up repeating all the same jokes from DM of the Rings.

The sandpeople had women and children. We know this because Anakin killed them how could he tell? The children might be smaller but I never saw a sandperson with breasts. Did they hike their skirts and show him some leg or something?

Also, I can see the point of wanting to kidnap a human and use her as a slave, but they didn't. They tied her to a flimsy easel for a month. It's assumed they had to feed and give her water. What for? Was she purely ornamental? I can understand them wanting the droids, you can sell those for a lot of money, but a chick who's only skills are finding non-existand mushrooms and getting randomly pregnant, you're not going to get much.

The DM of the Rings cracked me up. Good point about what they do for R&R. That's why I found Conan's novels more... um... 'believable'. Except the Rolland Green ones. Yuck.
Darths+Droids won't be as funny because the RPG meme isn't as strong as SW, but it's free entertainment anyway so I'm game. Thanks for the link.

Sweat merciful crap!
A friend of mine and I just finished the DM of the rings, and it nailed us perfectly. the legolas character was him to tea and the aragorn was definatley me down to falling alsepp and all. THe dwarf and DM were definatley replicas of our other two ex-RPGing frineds. I can't wait to show them. It's damn scary it's so accurate.

Reading DM a bit by bit each day. Fond memories. I played for a while at Uni and really loved it. We had the cool, calm, know-it-all DM. Our party was his babeous girlfriend, the cool guy who gave me a lift to the game, a nice fat guy who sadly no longer dwells on our plane, some other people I can't remember and the really annoying smart ass whose character eventually got killed by 'Blue lightning'.
Tried to get a game going in years since but (1) hard to find a group, (2) everyone plays WoW instead, (3) rulebooks are too big, heavy and boring. Ah well... The DM of the Rings makes for a nice trip down memory lane.
