Tragedy for some, opportunity for vultures in the media, a chance to display rampant and insincere sentimentality for most, and of course a great time for all the moronic gawkers here in the US to be entertained by the tragedy of others.

This is just distasteful in my opinion. I'm not being pretentious, I really think it's too early to poke fun at this, and I'm not sure if this is something you should ever poke fun at. Imagine if someone cracked jokes at 9/11 three days after, he'd be lynched. It's somewhat ok to joke about it now, because it helps people get over their sadness. However, this VT massacre is still too recent for that.

David- I actually laughed ON nine eleven. I mean, come on, I know a bunch of other people had to get a chortle hearing the pentagon was blown up. This is a place where a lot of rich white men plotted to blow up a lot of poor brown people, and then it got blown up. Poetic justice if you ask me. The other stuff, not so cool, I'm no fan of terrorism.

As for this, I was poking fun at the shooter who is, let's face it, a horrible writer. And if you think I'M being insensitive, consider this:

Every time two or more students gather publicly there are news organizations there. Some of these kids have interviews in their hospital beds, and the American public eats it up, giving these assholes ratings and encouraging them to keep hounding the victims of this tragedy. I'm making a joke out of the shooter's writings being a joke, I'm not contributing to harassment.

Dee- Fred Phelps is a reprehensible, unfeeling excuse for a human being. He shows up at military funerals as well, and made statements thanking God for the effects of hurricaine Katrina. I've actually done articles about him on my site. It's sad though that he's only a part of the circus of gun people, pundits, and reporters that are forming around this incident.

To me that is trying to cause hatred over personal preferences by placing their opinions in front of what they call god. 1."Thou shalt have no other gods before me." Maybe they are devil worshippers in disguise. Seems like they are trying to acclaim their title as "god" interpreters similar to the squeely pigs from Animal Farm.

Ah, I'm glad to hear I wasn't the only one. I got the news that the pentagon got bombed and it was easily the funniest thing I'd ever heard.
