Nanowrimo 2006 Thoughts, writings, mad cackling

So, we're now in what could be called September, and mainly because I've got nothing better to do, my thoughts turn to this years Nanowrimo.
For those not quite in the know, Nanowrimo (National Novel Writing Month) is a competiton/event/thing that seemingly happens every November, where several thousand very silly people try and write a 50,000 word novel in 30-odd days. Yahtzee managed it last year with Fog Juice, and I intend to this year.
So who else is on board? I know its ridiculously early to start thinking about it, but 1.) people who might want to take part need more warning than I had last year 2.) Like I said, I've got nothing better to do.
Useful linkyness:
The official Nanowrimo site: Currently down, but when its alive again, you'll want to read it.
Fog Juice: Yahtzees entry from last year. It was good.
Custard Insurance Adjusters: Because this thread probably will go off-topic in five threads anyway

Good luck, you guys! I certainly couldn't write a novel, but I'll be happy to help anyone that's participating out in any way that I can, be it editing or constructive criticism, whatever.
I am writing about Jm in my signature because apparently it's an effective method of ignoring him.

I'll pass... I've still got a lot to learn about the English language, plus I found that I prefer spending my time with designing stuff nowadays, which is somewhat bad because I suck at plenty of techniques I'd like to use, which further diminishes my incentive to write something of that size, plus I've gotta make preparations for moving to Stuttgart, plus I'll be beginning my studies soon, plus I'll have to make preparations for moving to the Ruhrarea shortly after that, plus I'm far too lazy, plus I don't get paid for it, plus minus, plus I don't even know what I'm talking about anymore, plus where am I? Eh...

I find this interesting. I may even try to do it (doubt it though).
Apparently writing about JM here is his secret weakness. Muwahaha!!!! Now I have leverage over him and am another step closer towards my goal of world domination.

The seas shall become as blood. The righteous shall fall before the wicked! And all creation shall tremble before the burning standards of Hell!" - Mephisto
Kurgan X showed me this web comic done with Legos. It pokes fun at all six Star Wars films and I found it to be extremely entertaining.

To be honest, writing Fog Juice won't be that hard seeing as Yahtzee already did it
I think I'll sit it out, I'm not a writer. Plus, I'll be writing my thesis about then as it is.
The Green Knight, SimeSublime the Puffinesque, liker of chips and hunter of gnomes.

Well, its mid October, I've actually signed up, I've still got no idea what I'm going to write about, and god help us I've still got no Internet in my house. Well done me!

I finally found a sufficiently loopy place to start at, and although I've only pumped out 1000 words so far, rest assured there's already two counts of bestiality and at least half a dozen references to LSD. Its going to be a very fun novel.
When there's a way of getting stuff off of my laptop and onto the Internet, I'll take the Icey route and stick it in a blogspot blog.
