What I am interested in, if I can find information to compare and map different religions to see if it leads to one force. Can be a long time before I become religious, but worth looking into as part of an experiment.

You must have only ever known really horrible Christians.

One can be Christian and a good, open-minded, non-hypocritical person at the same time. Granted, those are rare. But then, it's a lot easier for someone with lots of guidelines to follow to be a hypocrite.

I'd hope you weren't so close-minded as to hate all Christians themselves...

Nah, I dont hate all Christians, hell I quite liked the last Pope, I just don't understand the whole idea of God. Whenever I consider the idea of God it just makes so little sense to me that I always conclude that there just cannot be an entity such as God. My personal problem with the teachings of Christianity are a separate issue.

going over all that's here it's quite simple...

jesus was born in july/august...

decmber 25th was a day relevant to sun worshipers, the period on which we celebrate easter was originally a pagen festival for the godess of fertility, thus the eggs and rabit... even the hot cross buns having nothing to do with a crucifix.

yes, the catholics, like all major corporations, adopted these cultural holidays to make themselves more appealing then the other christian churches... they sold out early on. long before it became cool to accuse them of it...

the simple fact of the matter is that hasbro and coke own christmas, and cadburys and nestles own easter...

but either way, we get three public holidays so who gives a rats ass.

Well they no longer appeal to me, other than the facts. This is another confliction, some say he was born around September, December, January, and now July.

Understandable for the evidence, but I am wondering if this could ever happen; Will there be more judgments, all put together which makes out that he was born every month of the year, once a point is proven, then every day?

If God did exist, he had a fucked up sense of humour:
He tells Adam that he can't eat animals even though there are no doubt millions of them. He says to Noah, with the last 2 every animal, "if you fancy a kebab... I'll look the other way."

To Noah:

Genesis 9:1-3
Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth. The fear and dread of you will fall upon all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air, upon every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea; they are given into your hands. Um... That didn't at all say "Adam, you can't eat any of these animals." And when he said that to Noah, obviously, he meant after the animals have repopulated as well, considering he just said "be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth." Even if you take the stories of Adam and Eve and the Flood literally, I cannot see where you could have drawn those conclusions...

I don't understand why people automatically give up on the idea of a divine source just because one spiritual tradition doesnt make sense to them. There are thousands of religious systems out there, many of them are nothing like Christianity or any main stream religion. Why just go straight athiest just because you don't belive Jesus was the incarnate form of the Source.

The way I see it you have nothing to lose by believing in something and everything to lose by not.

Do you really believe that a merciful deity would condemn a soul just because they honestly cant understand and therefore dont believe in it?

On a side note, I get irritated when I get subjected to 24/7 Christmas music (because its Terrible... except for the classical choral music - thats not so bad) in every store, and bombarded with 'merry Christmas' everywhere I go. I know people are just being polite - but they would probably flip their shit if on every one of my Pagan holidays I went around saying stuff like 'Blessed Samhain,' or An Mhor Rioghain Dhuit" (not that they would know what the latter phrase meant). When the store clerks and greeters start spewing 'merry christmas' I kindly tell them that I am infact Pagan. They usually don't see it coming.

It pisses me off that they all just kind of assume that I celebrate their religious holiday - and it IS a religious holiday - even if you choose not to acknowledge the religious symbolism. When you say 'Christmas' you are acknowledging 'Christ's Mass' or the religious feast and the rituals of Christ’s birth.

The commercialism alone is enough to make me want to vomit. I personally hate Christmas, but not the religious celebration, just the modern mockery thereof. Dec 25th is Saturnalia, and Mean Geimhreigh (the winter solstice) is usually around the 21/22 - which I do celebrate with much feasting, drinking and ritual sex.

And yes, the Christian holy day was changed from July (I think it was) and moved to dec 25 in an attempt to better indoctrinate the heathens.
