Yeppers! There are a bunch of comic book covers in the Sonic Mega Collection. It looks like it might have been pretty cool, except that the humor was too corny for me even back then. If it had been either more witty or taken itself seriously about telling a story about a blue hedgehog that saves the world from a cyborg, it might have been hard-core kickass. However, I didn't see any of the later episodes, so he might have grown up a little...
Reccomend some Genesis games? Continuing the series...

I remember there being two cartoons. One was really childish, but the other was more gritty and futuristic.
The Green Knight, SimeSublime the Puffinesque, liker of chips and hunter of gnomes.

I didn't realise there was a new one. The ones I was talking about were on TV a decade ago(actually, I think it was 11 years, but it's a bit hard to remember).

Yeah, the kids one blew, but the one that was more serious was cool.
If you're talking about the comics, then no. The storys just got crappier.
