Modern Character:

Either the D20 Modern character I based my username off:

Otal Nimrodi (Yeah, it seems like it's not original, but take into account that the character came first.)

Traits

Gunner: He likes guns. He's good with guns.
Stealthy: Well, I suppose it's exactly like Floppydisk's
Sadistic SOB: He really enjoys killing people.

Weakness:

Loyalty: It's near impossible for him to disobey the NMC's orders.

QUOTE (Slade @ Jan 22 2006, 01:38 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
To be honest, I'm kinda nervous. I already feel like this is going to be far too orderly, but I'll give it a shot...

I am a firm believer that we should get all this orderly stuff out of the way first so that we can toss it in the game.

QUOTE ('Slade again')
And we only have five points to distribute amongst our traits, not eleven, Iceman. Unless I missed a post or something. Feel free to correct me. And I hope our characters can grow in stats once in a while, because 5 points is pretty feeble to start with...

There isn't much growth in this game (Stat-wise). Basically you start off like an action-movie god, you stay an action-movie god. But you do get to switch and jumble around the numbers between scenes, so it's not like you remain stagnate. Besides, your charicters pesonality do enough growing, why bother thier stats as well.

Also, great charicter. I love it.

QUOTE ('SimeSublime')
I put the vote for the modern/urban one, though I seem to be outnumbered.

Actually the modern campaign setting is winning. With
3 votes modern (Sime, Icey, and me)
2 votes traditional (Zatoichi and Otal)

QUOTE ('Otal')
Either the D20 Modern character I based my username off:

Oh you've played that too. I always liked how they did charicter classes in that, very flexable. But the way they handled wealth was absolutely horrid, but then again I'm a miserly basterd that likes to count every gold peice that I get from the dragons/supervisors lair.

Traits

Gunner: He likes guns. He's good with guns.
Stealthy: Well, I suppose it's exactly like Floppydisk's I'm beginning to see a patern here
Sadistic SOB: He really enjoys killing people.

Weakness:

Loyalty: It's near impossible for him to disobey the NMC's orders.

Alright, not bad, just add some numbers and you're all set. But I do have to ask what the NMC is.

Alright, I believe I have the nessicariy elements to start world building. But keep sending me ideas, I can rip off old books and pop-culture forever. We will be doing the modern'ish kind of game so tweek your charicters like so, but all in all they seem fine enough to fit already.

Also note that I'll be gone on monday, tuesday, and I'll be back LATE night wednesday. Just giving you a heads up.

Ooooh. Ok then. Let me retry the stats thing.

Ahem. Razael Tyrshand:

The Arts Arcane 4
Norse Blood 4
Martial Weaponry 3

Ah, much better. I don't feel so newbish now. And this character can do either setting. And think of him as a fortyish slightly gothic guy, black hair and deep purple cape over a three-piece suit of earth tones. Weapons are still up in the air for now...

I vote for modern.

I guess I'll have my character late tonight.

Ok, lets see. Character.

Blink(short distance teleport) - 3
Short Blades -5
Panache(as in style/flair) -3

Weakness:
Showoff

Description:
Stands at just over 6', broad shoulders but light build. Wears a black hat and dark glasses regardless of light/weather conditions(mental image is based off the latest picture of me in the gallery, Hat Tip). Wears stylish dark clothing, including a dark green cape. Very quick, favours wielding a kukri in right hand and a dagger in the off.

Now all he needs is a name. Goddamn I hate thinking of names.

Well, NMC was just my version of Department 7. Instead of a shadowy government agency, it's a shadowy mercenary agency giving the orders. We worked it that Otal has to roll a will save to do anything either

A: Against orders, no matter how necessary it may seem.
or
B: To go against the NMC behavioral Regulations.

Do not harm children under 4.
Erase all evidence.
If you harm the parents of children under 4, said children must be kidnapped to NMC.
There were some others, too. I'll remember them sometime.

Ok, tomaro I'll dump the setting info on you and near wednesday I'll place your charicters.

Now unfortunatly my schedule has been butchered like a fine slab of beef, so I'll only be able to make big responces every 2/3 days.

Trevor Tambourino.

"Maybe artists shouldn't talk about their art."
"Well kids, I guess your father isn't a hermaphrodite."

QUOTE (floppydisk @ Jan 19 2006, 05:43 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Sorry bout the double post, but I created a character and I'm ready to rock.

Leone (AKA that one wierd guy at work)

Traits
Stealthy
Resourceful (Erm, I hope that maybe I can make it so that I get a skill modifier of +whatever if I come up with some uniqe or different way of solving a problem. GM's decision, really)
Master of Classical Weaponry (swords, bows, etc)

Weakness
Not very good with people.
I think I did it all right, let me know if I fudged up.

I'm going to refine this to:

Leone Denton (AKA that one wierd guy at work)

Traits
Demolitions 3
Resourceful 4
Classical Weapons 4

Weakness
Not good at all with people.

Bio
Leone is that one strange guy at work who always seems to be watching you. He's the guy who always steals the paper clips for his own dark purposes. He's the guy who asks you to smell his cast and the guy who you'll do anything to avoid, even forsaking your lunch break. At 5'4", he is not an imposing man. He is not exactly fat, but one would not call him skinny. If there's any word to describe Leone's body type, it's chunky. He doesn't so much walk as he morphs from room to room, and in his spare time he trains in demolitions and classical weaponry, all made from stolen office supplies.

-----------------------

I quite like him happy.gif

Well, I couldn't think of anything, so I got inspired by watching a movie instead.

Micheal O'Brian

Traits
Crack Shot 5 - Almost never misses with whatever he happens to be using.
Gunsmith 3 - Knowns how to repair, modify, and build guns
Infamous 3 - His reputation is great, although most people don't know what he looks like

Weakness
Vow of Revenge - His family was butchered by former associates.

Bio
He was a former Archangel of Death for the Irish mob. His employer grew fearful of his abilities and set him up to be ambushed. He also ordered his family to be killed. Since then, Micheal has been hunting down former associates. He is about 5'8", well built, and wears a dark blue suit with a matching fedora. He also wears a dark brown trenchcoat, black gloves, and black shoes.

Weapons
Tommy Gun

Colt .45

Still needs some work though.
Apparently writing about JM here is his secret weakness. Muwahaha!!!! Now I have leverage over him and am another step closer towards my goal of world domination.

"And the Evil that was vanquished shall rise anew. Wrapped in the guise of man shall he walk amongst the innocent and Terror shall consume they that dwell upon the Earth. The skies will rain fire. The seas shall become as blood. The righteous shall fall before the wicked! And all creation shall tremble before the burning standards of Hell!" - Mephisto

Kurgan X showed me this web comic done with Legos. It pokes fun at all six Star Wars films and I found it to be extremely entertaining.

Actually, I'm not sure wether Infamous should be a trait, Z. I can't imagine you ever having to roll on Infamous, unless he mentions his own reputation to someone he's talking with.

How about scaring thugs away or buying time through hesitation of others. His face can just be something that triggers fear in his opponents. It's totally something to use.
