I voted for Mr. Wigglestein and the Constantinoples in hopes that my vote would make them exist.

No Frank Zappa on this list? His stuff was pretty weird.

i've heard nearly every Zappa album, and his stuff was never really weird... he's hyped up that way, but there's nothing that weird's me out about him - plus his music is fantastic.

I think there are weirder acts than the ones listed, so i have chosen not to take part.

I don't know about an entire band being weird, but there's Pat Boon's "In a Metal Mood," an album of heavy metal and hard rock covers set to big band music. Shit like "Crazy Train" and "Enter Sandman." It's frankly awesome, but definitely weird. Then there's "Focus," a song by the band Hocus Pocus, a rare blend of hard rock guitar and yodelling. Also "They're Coming to Take Me Away," by Napoleon XIV. The B-Side (remember B-sides, anyone?) was the same song in reverse. Like they took the tape out, respooled it backward, and recorded it to album. Technically perverse.

I wanted to use ONE band from the "Fake Band Names" thread, just for the hell of it. Your was the first one I saw that made me laugh.
