I just got an email from Earl Newton, director of Fall of a Saga. He made this great film about Lucas. I don't want to spoil it so check it out here:
Fall of a Saga
It's pretty long (over twenty minutes) and I know some of us have short attention spans. Stick with it though, it is brilliant. It will actually make the harshes Prequel bashers amongst us feel compassion for Lucas and laugh at the same time.
It explains a lot!

Hey, I used to do theater with that guy (Bruce Collier)!
Oh wait, I made the movie.
It's terrific to hear you guys are enjoying the film. I just got back from Comic-Con, where we played in the International Film Fest.
This is definitely the place for Fall of a Saga, I know you guys feel as I do about the prequels.

By the way, Chefelf, I really have to say again: the list is hilarious. I've forwarded it to friends/family, you are vicariously injuring people all over this good nation.

Welcome to the forum, SouthernRonin.

The sandpeople had women and children. We know this because Anakin killed them how could he tell? The children might be smaller but I never saw a sandperson with breasts. Did they hike their skirts and show him some leg or something?

Also, I can see the point of wanting to kidnap a human and use her as a slave, but they didn't. They tied her to a flimsy easel for a month. It's assumed they had to feed and give her water. What for? Was she purely ornamental? I can understand them wanting the droids, you can sell those for a lot of money, but a chick who's only skills are finding non-existand mushrooms and getting randomly pregnant, you're not going to get much.

Hey guys, have been gone for a bit - preparing the next movie for shooting, so I tend to do a "down periscope" sort of thing for a few weeks during pre-production...
I wanted to post an update to the Fall of a Saga saga, as it were...some exciting stuff! I JUST received a call from the ShockerFest Film Festival, and Fall has been accepted.
Why is this cool? Two big reasons I can think of:
(1) Fall has two nominations going for it, one for Best Actor (Bruce Collier as George Lucas) and one for Best Score (all props to Andrew R. Powell), and we just MIGHT be getting a nom for Best Picture (I'll let you know as things progress). This means lots of fun after-parties and general mayhem.
(2) ShockerFest takes place in Modesto, CA...which, as all die-hard Star Wars fans know, is the home town of Mr. George Lucas. This means lots of angry villagers with pitchforks and general mayhem.
It's going to be exciting. For all I know, we could have Lucas' cousins in the audience...hell, even Lucas himself, I really don't know.
If you guys have the opportunity, try to make it out there, I know I'm going to be there. Should be an experience to remember.
