Backwards Walker Knows Where He's Been, Better Than Most
A Cheektowaga man certainly knows where he's been, because he's been walking backwards for recreation in recent y ears. "I've walked these roads for the last six years everyday," said Chuck Henrikson, "and I know where I'm going."
Henrikson says he used to walk several miles a day in the traditional day; six years ago he started turning heads by turning around and walking backwards, up to seven miles daily.
"For years now, walking backwards, frontwards, sideways and everything else, and people say what's wrong with the guy?" said barber Wayne Wahl, "I say nothing! He just likes to exercise and he's in great physical shape."
