Failed Forum Upgrade & Downtime Oops!

Hey, everybody. Sorry for the downtime the past few days. The upgrade clearly didn't work out the way I'd planned it. The site just came back online yesterday after a great effort by our good friend Chris to restore the database.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. We'll be holding off on the upgrade for now.

The forums reverted to a backup copy made on December 5. There may be a few articles and posts that are missing but the lost items should be pretty minimal.

So will you try to upgrade the forum again sometime in the future, or have you decided that status quo is, after all, a good thing?

Granted i only lost about 4 posts,
but they were pretty darn funny......

Jaysis, Chefelf,. I don't see how you can be lettin the forums go down. Most of us have residency permits pending for this place. Do you REALLY want people like Jane wandering the streets stabbing passers by? We wouldn't get mad at you over forum downtime, but our victims might.
