$solution = starting today we will require all new members to validate email addresses when they register here.
{
the meaning of this is twofold:
{
fold #1 - there are a lot of members here who have invalid email addresses which means if they subscribe to topics, send pms, or do anything in which this site will send them an email... //I GET THE EMAIL!// this means a hundred emails a day that say so and so sent so and so a pm. no offense but i dont' care.
}
{
fold #2 - this will stop any potential abuse of the forum by bots who wish to sell their wares here at chefelf.com
}
}
//THANKS FOR EVERYONES UNDERSTANDING!

I thought it was customary to use a real email to sign up for things. It's been so long ago that I signed up(wow, nearly a year!)that I can't remember much of it now/.

I always use fake emails on places that I dont care about, such as when microsoft wants me to fill out some nonsense when I'm installing something. I cant see why anyone would do that for this forum though.
