I agree, its truly sad. So much talent out there in the fans, and Lucas has once again probably hired more idiot yes-men to do the stupidest things concievable. As I have said before, its time for the fans to take "their" star wars back. This moment reminds me of the end of the Last Temptation of Christ, when Jesus meets Harry Dean Stanton(Paul), and he says, "My Jesus is more powerful than yours, means more than you..." If Star Wars, the 1978 version is your true Jesus, take it back, like Paul, you can...its yours, and there is nothing George Lucas can do about it. I think that once Lucas dies, fans WILL take it over, and perhaps even remake Episode I, II, and III...who cares if Lucas turns in his grave. I mean think about it, who in 20 years will have the kind of respect for George Lucas that some have where people visit celebrity graves, were touched and inspired say by Bruce Lee or whatever...people by then will be making CGI remakes of the prequels on their PC's saying "Hey Lucas...eat this...and it didn't cost 200 million dollars!AND ITS BETTER THAN ANYTHING YOU COULD DREAM OF!" I say let the inspiration stand, and be inspired, a "take Star Wars back" campaign. Fans are producing fan-films as we speak which are better than Episode I or II, real talent, real creativity. Screw George Lucas, it ain't his baby anymore, he lost it when he refused to die on the cross...
