If you can accept Luke's "Nooooo!" in Empire Strikes Back and cannot accept Vader's "Nooooo!" in ROTS, then some thinking process is clearly messed up in your brain.
Reasons Luke has to scream "Nooooooo!"
1. He gets his hand cut off.
2. He finds out Vader is his father.
Reasons Vader has to scream "Nooooooo!"
1. He gets his legs and arms cut off, is horribly burnt from lava, and is now more machine than man.
2. He learns his wife died as a result of his anger.
3. He has lost everything.
If it was necessary? It was absolutely necessary. If he doesn't show anything you don't feel anything for him.
The discussions between Padme and Anakin NEVER go on too long. They end just when they are about to drag on.
The two are in love. I've heard a lot of people say far cornier things to each other when sweet talking. At least in ROTS it is believable the two are in love, unlike in AOTC.

Ummm, no. He only screams no becasue of pt.2.

3. He has lost everything.
Ummm no, Vader does not scream no. Only Anakin does that. And Anakin sucks!

People do say corny things when they are in love. That is however not the point, apart from being awkward to watch, the scene on the balcony is extremely malplaced in the film. Anakin has not so long before decapitated a defenseless man and overall shown admirable resolve when rescuing Palps. The contrast between this and the embarrassed schoolboy routine simply does not work. A solution to this would have, for instance, been achieved trough the simple art of keeping his mouth shut, and just looking at Padme admiring her beauty (how hard can that be?). I agree that the love scenes are better in ROTS, but the best scene between them by far in the entire PT is the scene where they donīt talk at all since they both stare out the window from different places of the city.

Never as in PT or Never as in rots or Never as in your imagination? thanks for the chuckle.
Sweeney Todd. That's where I was first moved by the tragic realization of deadly consequences involving lost love. Except Sweeney kept his game face and swiftly threw his deceiver, Mrs. Lovett right into the oven.
Fine. Vader bided his time until doing the same.

Another thing that set my teeth on edge was Obi-wan doing an Indiana Jones with this Grievous Coughing Droid. And imagine that Lucas hated this scene in Indiana Jones!
And wasn't it enough to rip off Dune in OT by adding the skeletons of sandworm? Did he have to add the flying machines too (can't remember the orifinal name).
Obi-wan uttering lines like "Oh dear" and "Totally uncivilised" and "Hello there" "Oh, it's you"
Buzz droids (I noticed in subtitles that some idiot guy translated it literally into Polish, which made it hilarious - the result was something that might be translated back into English as "bugger-droids")
I'll come back with more, I think...

I agree this is the most powerful scene between the two. However I did like it when they were on the balcony and Anakin was just admiring her beauty. The exchange of compliments to each other were cheesy, but it was an exchange I could believe two people who loved each other would say. This is what lacked in AOTC. The dialogue between them seemed forced and very awkward.
My apologies. I should have been more specific. I think the scenes with Padme and Anakin in ROTS always end just when the viewer is on the verge of getting annoyed.
As for AOTC, not so much.
Why don't you just download the script and complain about every single scene? I would also be extremely interested in you and Chef constructing a list of reasons to hate the OT.

The chipmunk-face in despair scene is way less lame (and better acted and better directed and better scored) than the new Vader scene, and I'm prepared to shout this from the rooftops.
Vader's scene couldn't be parodied and/or made any more ridiculous than it already is. Unless...
Vader: Master, are there any Lay's Potato Chips or Nacho Flavored Doritos left?
Emperor: I'm afraid they have all been eaten, my friend.
Vader: NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Oh yeah, another dumb scene: When Palpatine gives Anakin his new name, what's with all those strange noises he keeps making? Reminds me of Bill Paxton at the end of Weird Science. You know, where he's that big toad thing and keeps burping and farting?

Oh no, I don't write well enough for that. That is why I am not doing it, I just know Chelfelf will make it hundred times better and funnier.
And I hope Cheflef made it clear in another thread why is he doing it for prequels (see Reasons to hate thread).
And why would I construct list to hate OT? I love these films, that hold a lot of sentimental value for me.

Yes, they have sentimental value for myself as well. But wouldn't it be funny to examine all the flaws?
