Anyways, I don’t have the attention span to play first person shooters , and I’m not willing to put 6hrs a day into an mmorpg. Can anyone recommend a good rpg? Even some older stuff would work, seeing as how I’ve only been playing PC games for the past 2 or 3 years. The only console games I could ever sit through were the Zelda games (ocarina of time being my favorite).
Please please please help! I’m going crazy. I even got so desperate as to try and play KOTOR 1 for the 8th time, but I mean how many times can you turn evil and kill off all your friends before it starts to get a little old, ya know?

Though I don't understand how you don't have the attention span to play FPS games. I don't like them because they require no attention span. Just load it up and shoot stuff.

From what I've heard, Neverwinter Nights are not that bad either...And there should be special edition around for a very reasonable price

Accept that you didn't like the lack of freedom\character development in Fable, which means you're down to either Fallout, Arcanum, Gothic (sort of), or Morrowind. (Bad Graphics, Bad Graphics, Bad Controls, Dull as a tomb), and can cross Neverwinter nights of your list sharpish.

I played Bloodlines quite a few times... I really liked it. Any game that has stripclubs and adult stores gets the sailor abbey seal of approval. I haven't tried those other games though. I don't really know much about them either... i'll have to do some reading.
fps are so insanely boring... i need character development and a good story line. I can't just run around and shoot stuff. Well, I can... if inbetween the shooting and the killing, i can make some game altering decisions. I like playing evil characters when I can... and i like being a girl.

I've played all the zeldas. I've only actually beat ocarina of time (please don't make fun of me... I never had enough time to get good at video games) but I loved them all... except majoras mask... oh and the second selda... what was that called... you know... that really creepy one.
anyways, i thought about neverwinter nights once or twice... but now im scared. I'm afraid to buy another Fable. That game got such good reviews and it just didnt live up to my expectations.

The original Deus ex then, which is one of the best titles you can get for a fiver these days. Except you can't play as a woman.

Fable would have been about a 1000 times better if Peter Molyneux had STFU during it's development. Neverwinter nights is about as deep as Diablo, the adventure editor is nice, but it all feels rather cut and paste after a few hours.
You're more than let off for the zeldas, since everyone hates young link, and the second one get's carpet brushed by the fanboys.

I checked it out on amazon and it had 30 some review and pretty much everybody gave it five stars. I ordered it new from one of those sellers that goes through amazon for 59cents. It better be worth it!

Peter Molyneux: Founder of Bullfrog, who created populous, theme park, syndicate, theme hospital, dungeon keeper, and a bunch of other stuff. Sold the company to EA for lots of cash, Buggered off so he could make his own games again, whored himself out to EA for a second time, made the hideous mess that was black and white, then made Fable.
Peter's biggest flaws are that he believes his own hype, he always makes at least one major screw up in every title he's involved in, and that he won't stop talking about how great his next game is going to be.
In short, he's a very rich twat.

Come now Laughlyn, you know that KotOR was also on PC, and whatmore, was better on PC. I've only played an X-Box once in my life, but I loved KotOR as well as Morrowind.

Well anyways, I only have a gamecube. Mostly because I will only play the Zelda games.
Oh wait... I lied - I have a playstation 2 (but i didnt pay for it).. but I've only ever played SSX Tricky and SSX Tour Something. THose are pretty fun... but when I try to go to sleep at night after playing them, all I dream about is snowboarding. It really gets irritating after a while.
I tried playing Devil May Cry and Final Fantasy... 10? maybe? But Devil May Cry was too hard (for me at least) and Final Fantasy was full of cool movie clips, but the actual gameplay was really crappy. I just wanted to skip the stupid parts where I'm forced to fight and stuff so I could see waht was going on in the story. Why even make games... why not just make little FF movies?
On that note - I really like to wait for games to come out on PC. Not only to the graphics look better - but I dig using the mouse and keyboard for controls.

Seriously, I never thougth anything by Bioware can be bad. Anyone played Jade Empire? THis is the project that made Bioware pass on KOTOR 2, so it better be good...
