It's hard to say. The trailer is just some bike stunts and explosions. Looks like Batman will have another damsel to save from the bad guy (yawn), and the Joker looks like his makeup was put on by someone he'd stabbed in the belly. It could be areally good action movie, or what I like to call "another one of those" (see my review of Batman Begins); time will tell.
I will see it opening day of course.

I think Heath will be an excellent Joker, but I also have reservations on the make-up job. It looks more like the Crow than the Joker. But I'll be there opening night also!
Yess the CROW thats who it is i was thinking it looked to familiar!
I thought Heath looked freaky as the Joker,
but he sounds or is trying to sounds like Jack Nicholson's Joker
Obviously he can't sound like himself because Joker isn't an Aussie
but the comparison between his Joker and Jack's Joker shouldn't be similar
we are starting over not trying to relive the past

The trailer didn't do it for me, but I'm still really optimistic concerning this movie.
Batman Begins was totally the best super hero movie ever.
I found the teaser trailer much more nerdgasm-inducing, though.
If this movie doesn't rock, I'll riot in the streets.

Heath's Joker looks kinda like Beetlejuice.
More than ever before you can see just how different Nolan's style is from Burton's - Burton went for Goth Opera, Nolan is more grounded thriller.
Still, film looks great from the trailer, can't wait to see it.

I'm very excited, and I enjoy the new grisly cut-smile of Heath's Joker. I hope after this is all over, it helps me forget that he starred in A Knight's Tale. However, he doesn't seem to be trying to imitate Jack Nicholson, and I've read articles stating he was doing his best to reimagine the Joker. I don't see much Nicholson Joker in him, especially not enough to say he's trying to copy him. Also it's a stretch to say he looks like the Crow, too, methinks. I suppose if you really wanted to, you could say they're both inspired by glam rock... *shrug*

I'm looking forward to this, since Batman Begins was one of the most pleasantly surprising superhero movie's I'd ever seen. Ledger definitely looks like he'll make an impressive Joker for sure, but I don't want to start gushing fanatically about the whole thing. There's a lot of potential for this movie to be either really good, or really bad, and I'm not sure which way I'm leaning on it right now.
Either way yeah...Opening night will find me in line to see it, grinning like a simpleton.

So, um, now what? ... Did they get enough filming done for Heath to still be the Joker?
It's just plain sad.
It's just plain sad.
It's in post production I believe so they may only have had the odd pick up that they will either do without or work shots around.
Very sad indeed.

It's a curse of that crow-like makeup.
Too bad.
Too bad.
Rest In Peace, Heath Ledger. You will be missed.
