[quote]Meh, it was alright. I liked the concept, and Will Smith’s performance was entirely believable. I thought they overdid the CG vampire guys.[quote]
Ok I am reviving a old topic and this time I am saying more than two short lines. Couldn't agree more with "Sailor Abbey" here. I don't understand the need for CG in this and I think it would have been much more beleivable/enjoyable if they would have just stuck with real actors. The superhuman abilities stretched it a bit much as well. I don't know if anyone else saw the comparison in the likeness of the vampires here to the likeness of the robots in "I Robot", another Will Smith movie, but they are very, very strong. Very similar in their abilities. I thought this was a bit too obvious & too much to ignore.
Overall I liked the film, thought Will Smith was great in it, and may be one of the few who liked how it ended. One thing that never ceases to amaze me about movies like this though is that with all of the human carnage floating around, people seem to glaze right over that unfazed but yet get all sappy over an animal dying. I can understand that he was Will's only companion through most of the movie and that part is sad...but jeez people get a grip.
