TLOZ, purely because of the one out for SNES and Ocorina of time. Can't wait for the next Starfox to come out. For the N64, all it was missing was better multiplayer. Liked them all though.
Apparently writing about JM here is his secret weakness. Muwahaha!!!! Now I have leverage over him and am another step closer towards my goal of world domination.
"And the Evil that was vanquished shall rise anew. Wrapped in the guise of man shall he walk amongst the innocent and Terror shall consume they that dwell upon the Earth. The skies will rain fire. The seas shall become as blood. The righteous shall fall before the wicked! And all creation shall tremble before the burning standards of Hell!" - Mephisto
Kurgan X showed me this web comic done with Legos. It pokes fun at all six Star Wars films and I found it to be extremely entertaining.

Really, what do you think I'm going to vote for?
But in all honesty, I would have voted for Starfox if the option came up.

Yeah, the Star Fox games are great except for Dinosaur Planet. I didn't like it as much as the other ones.
I'm voting for Mario. I got really addicted with Metroid Prime and with Ocarina of Time, but not as extremely addicted as when I played the Mario RPGs.
EDIT: The WarioWare Inc. franchise rocks too.

WarioWare!
You damned youngin's! Megaman's owned by Capcom!
Technically, Nintendo owns the Donkey Kong character; Rare just developed games for it until Microsoft bought them out. I'd say it was a sad day, but they have yet to produce anything of originality or value, (and really haven't since Conker's BFD [which they are trying to mooch off of for the XBox, apparently...]) so it looks like Microsoft wasted all of that money. I'd laugh, except 621 million dollars in nothing to a corporation like that.
There's a whole lot to consider here. You've got Mario 1 through N64, plus a Mario RPG and two Paper Marios...
Then you have Metroid, Metroid 2, Super Metroid, and Metroid Prime 1 & 2...
Then you've got every first party Zelda game (Not a fan of the Capcom developed GBC/GBA titles)...
There's only been two Banjo Kazooie games, neither of them all that interesting minus some keen midi-esque music, and the only Kirby games I've played are Kirby's Adventure (kickass NES game and a must own for anybody who has the system), and that pinball game for the GBC. Donkey Kong has DK Country and DKC2 as the best of the bunch.
And I liked The Adventure of Link too. I maintain that I play a mean piano arrangement of the temple music (which non-old-school gamers may recognize as the main music for Hyrule Temple in Super Smash Bros. Melee.)
I must deliberate some more and get back to you. I dunno how fair it is to try to pick betwixt Mario, Metroid, and the Zelda series...

That WarioWare game for the DS is amazing. I forget what it's called though, but tomorrow I have to go pick it up... along with that Sky Blue game, that one murder mystery game... then that Trauma Center game... and that lawyer game...
I wanna hear this piano arrangement. I love that dungeon song.

I went with LoZ, due mostly to OoT, but also WW to a lesser degree. Super Mario World, Mario Party X(insert number of choice) and Paper Mario 2(haven't played PM1 or Mario RPG) are great, the rest of the games I really couldn't care much about(though admitedly MB 1&3 were excellent for their time). I'm not sure why I didn't vote for DK. I loved the DKC trilogy for the SNES, but I hate the orrigional DK games and the N64 incarnation. Banjo Kazooie is owned by Rare, so I didn't count them, but I have to say that I loved those games. They were excellently made. As for Metroid, I've only really played Metorid Prime and MP 2. I've played Super Metroid a little, but not much. They're solid games, but the limited ammon in MP2 really ruined it for me. I tend to save consumables and only use them when I really have to. As such, I spent most of the game with the crappy power blaster. I couldn't beat the final boss, as I ran out of ammo for the good guns. I've never played any Megaman or Kirby games.
The Green Knight, SimeSublime the Puffinesque, liker of chips and hunter of gnomes.
