Did people ever use them? I don't know if I've ever really seen a feed that wasn't for something on the same site.
Well I use them, and have used them since the whole thing kind of took off a few years ago. Every webcomic I read uses one, and most blogging sites use them.
And Bond, RSS stands for Real Simple Syndication. It's a method of keeping readers up to date on new updates, etc. You simply direct an aggregator (software you run on your PC that keeps track of any RSS feeds that you've subscribed to) to watch the feed on a given website, and every time that website updates its content, you are alerted.

No way, Bond. You like pictures too?
To clarify what I meant a post or two earlier, I was thinking of using an RSS feed embedded in a page (rather than an aggregator) to show recent updates on other pages, like a blog that blogs about other blogs, maybe. Anyway, that's enough off-topicness for me right now.
EDIT: Oh yeah, I meant to ask: Can I submit a guest review if I get around to it? I'd like to rant about the last Simon and Garfunkel album. Don't laugh.
