of it's law-breaking glory....
and i have to say i liked it.
I wil allso say that i would't
see it again if i was paying but i wil definitly
want to own it.
There really are alot of similarities
like a princess that the goes to save and
Eragon get some help from a dark
haired more world savy 'friend'.
The ending left somethings unfinished like they expect a sequel.
Unless that wwas the case original
then they have a very cocky director and company
then again anything Fox does
doesn't surprise me.
But yeah all in all, decent film and i would see
the sequel if nothing else to see some more got dang charater development.
I want to care but they make it kinda difficult.

You know, i hate to use a street-like analogy
but in the music word if you 'recycle' a musicians'
song, beat or whatever, without their permission
that's called Biting.
Or in simpler terms STEALING.
Though i see yor point and understand
it fully that still doesn't make it right.
There are too many similarities
(SPOILER alert: but if you've read
the other replies this will come as no shock)
such as the foster/adopted farmboy
living with his uncle
on a farm far away from any others.
I could live with the 'he's our only hope' storyline
but the use of a princess (who hopefully doesn't turn out to be his sister)
a mysterious character who they're not sure can be trusted,
Or even the mentor in hiding
who is the last of his kind except for the Dark Lord....
ARE YOU SERIOUS.
I'm beginning to think i only liked this
movie b/c it reminded me of another,
Call it recycling if you must but you
can see why it is a bit much.

but i liked the movie
i was just pointing out the
too obvious similarities.
Those Adam Sandler,Wayans Bros. movies
formula have gotten pretty stale and old.
But i understand the whole horror thing.
Which is probably why i don't
watch the genre of film.
I agree the film seemed rushed
and the ending was unsatisfying
but overall decent.

changing the world one poster at a time.
Again i agree that 'That Guy'
who played Eragon was better.
Only 'cuz Mark Hamill's
whining in ANH made me MAD.
As for us getting along
it probably has something to do with
the Jade in both our names.

dude, i dont know about all that. George Lucas is proof positive that creativity never dies. Who else could think up characters like Jar-Jar & Boss Nass (b.k.a Biggie Smalls reincarnate ) and conjure some of the worst lines to give to those that star in the saga's films.
Shit, Fuck, Piss: I had to say that because I can on this website. (Thanks Chef!)

one thing that didn't get weeded out was the LOTR template. and before we go into hero's journey, the similarites there are vague compared to SW on LOTR.
