"no wonder I couldn't eat just one!"
National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon 1, starring Samuel L. Jackson and Emilio Estevez?
I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an obi-wan to go.

Anyway, for no good reason, it makes me think of this little film:
---------------
"I'm a hand model, mama. A finger jockey. We think differently than the face and body boys...we're a different breed."
---------------
D*: Why do you hate models, Matilda?
M*: Honestly?
H*: Yes.
M*: I think they're vain, stupid, and incredibly self-centered.
H*: I totally agree with you. But how do you feel about male models?
---------------
"I wasn't like every other kid, you know, who dreams about being an astronaut, I was always more interested in what bark was made out of on a tree. Richard Gere's a real hero of mine. Sting. Sting would be another person who's a hero. The music he's created over the years, I don't really listen to it, but the fact that he's making it, I respect that. I care desperately about what I do. Do I know what product I'm selling? No. Do I know what I'm doing today? No. But I'm here, and I'm gonna give it my best shot."
---------------
"Do you understand that the world does not revolve around you and your do whatever it takes, ruin as many people's lives, so long as you can make a name for yourself as an investigatory journalist, no matter how many friends you lose or people you leave dead and bloodied along the way, just so long so you can make a name for yourself as an investigatory journalist, no matter how many friends you lose or people you leave dead and bloodied and dying along the way? "
---------------
Man, that cracks me up.

"What's wrong, Loomis? You're not airborne yet!"
"What are ya talkin' about, look out the window, of course we're airborne!"
"We are, but... you're not."
I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an obi-wan to go.

Is this not virtually the same as the thread in the lobby?

Is this not virtually the same as the thread in the lobby?
Well, the Quotage thread in the lobby is for pretty much any quote of merit of personal fondness, this is just any random movie. It just so happens that the lobby Quotage thread has a lot of movie quotes on it.
You saved me. You redeemed me from the pit. I was in it, Emily. I was *in* that ultimate moment of terror that is the beginning of life. It is nothing. Simple, hideous nothing. The final truth of all things is that there is no final Truth. Truth is what's transitory. It's human life that is real. I don't want to frighten you, Emily, but what I'm trying to tell you is that moment of terror is a real and living horror, living and growing within me now, and the only thing that keeps it from devouring me is you.
I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an obi-wan to go.

That recent one was not Withnail and I, but a more recent film, and maybe one of the top 20 American films of the 90s.
