BEST MOMENT What was your favorite part?

Personally, for me, it was when Padme realizes that Obi-Wan had hitched a ride with her to Mustafar and she just starts looking back and forth between the two Jedi as she knows what is about to happen.
Upon seeing the movie an additional two times it looks like she may actually be distressed because Anakni is walking towards her about to choke her but the first time I saw it it appeared that she had this realization that they were about to duel and that one would live and the other would die. It looked like that inevitability was destroying her and that she wouldn't be able to live with the outcome, no matter what it was.
To me that was the best moment, even if I misinterpreted her reaction.

This is a little scene, but it shows to me that the PT universe is inhabited by more than dozen people, and they do engage in normal activities like going to the opera. It sort made the whole film a least a bit real for me.

I think my favorite part was the opera scene where Palpatine manipulates Anakin. For all of the PT's so-called glorious CGI, it was a good old fashioned conversation between two characters that did it for me.

- The various times in the movie where Anakin walks into a dimly lit area, and the outline of his figure appears just like the Vader suit and helmet. I thought they were actually quite good and subtle. I can't remember specifically at what points this happens, but it is maybe three or four times throughout?
- When he chokes padme. I reeeeeeeally was not expecting that and it made my day. Not because it was violent and it was the choke, but because it was unexpected and so brutal. Not like the rest of the film which was so farty and seemed to avoid any real drama.

I love the thought of battles in orbit, it hearkens back to the deleted scenes of ANH (though this was really over the top- too much to focus.) but to cheat and say the final credits, I liked the last little fanfare like they did with ROTJ. A nice symphonic wrap-up.

- The Order 66 Scene
- Juxtaposing Vader's "birth" with Padme's death
- A small scene, but when Yoda leaves Kashyyyk, I thought was a very moving scene, seeing the doors close on him with the hopelessness and sadness in his face, and having Yoda's theme in the background.

It's the scene where Obi Wan cries out in anguish: You were the chosen one! He's just watched his pupil and best friend burn to the crisp after having crippled him for life in a death duel. He *has* to end Anakin's life, but he balks and makes a statement (to himself, God, Qui Gon?) to vent his rage as his resolve crumbles.
For a moment, the clouds of Mordor crack and we get a brief star of goodness.
Then its back to the ring quest.

-The first time we see Anakin and Padme together. After trying to grope her and his bitching about something, he actually seems like a decent person and smiles at her being pregnant. And its a genuine Im happy for you, me and the baby smile. We needed to see more of this Anakin.
-Anakin admiting his faults to Obi Wan before Obi Wan went to find Grevious. Once again we actually see a good side to Anakin, and for the first time since the PT started, felt a genuine friendship between Anakin and Obi Wan

Another moment would have to be when Anakin and Obi-Wan duel. Hayden and Ewan did a great job and all their practice and hard work paid off. I loved every minute of the Final Duel. All the Clone Wars battles were my favorites as well.
Also, another scene that moved me, was where Anakin is standing on a bridge on Mustafar and this is after he slays all the Seperatist leaders, he starts to cry, I think he realized what he has done, and this is also when he fully goes to the darkside. That was the second best scene in the movie, the first was Yoda feeling pain and suffering in his heart.

I do have to say I liked the Order 66 montage. Very tragic, and I respect that Lucas didn't pull any punches with the destruction of the Jedi, showing that even the children were slain (by Anakin himself, no less!). On the other hand, the phrase "younglings" irritated me every time they said it.
The Wookiees were cool, but I wanted more of Kashyyyk than a few minutes (remember in the original trilogy, when characters would spend a third of a film on one planet?). Their stuff was just so neat-looking.
I liked every scene involving Palpatine. Ian McDiarmid was absolutely splendid to watch, and I believed everything he said. He was demure and convincing in his arguments for the Sith, which is exactly what he should have been. The Jedi arguments really didn't have any of the internal consistency that the Sith did.
I also liked the little bit with Yoda Force-punching the Imperial Guards. That two-second bit encapsulated what I felt Yoda should have been through the entire new trilogy - this calm little guy who doesn't do hyper-acrobatics or even use a lightsaber; he's so attuned to the Force that all it takes is a subtle movement to dispatch his foes.
I wanted to like the last confrontation between Obi-Wan and Anakin, but Anakin's lines were...just a tiny bit off. In that situation, I sympathized with him. He believed (or perhaps had deluded himself into believing) that he had chosen the best course of action. The Jedi Council were trying to take control of the Republic and assassinate the Chancellor; Anakin himself had long been subjected to their arrogance and duplicity. When Padme denounced him (and Obi-Wan emerged), I really thought that Anakin would have felt more deeply betrayed and abandoned by Padme, maybe even suspecting that she had been having an affair with Obi-Wan? I guess I wanted more pathos and less immediate anger, and maybe, as it all sank in, he'd lose emotional control and lash out with the Force, accidentally injuring Padme... I just didn't really buy that he'd start choking her like that, considering that his desire to keep her safe was his supposed motivation for everything he'd done [at least, immediately - it seemed to me that his motivation was to keep anything from changing, ensuring that everything would stay the same, comfortable and free from the fear of loss. Okay, enough analysis].
Well, that's how I wanted it to go, anyway. It was still a pretty good scene, though.
