Jesuits appear and kidnap Elizabeth to marry Will's cousin, and he must lead a rag tag band of English sailors and veterans of Francis Dranke's (himself a Pirate Lord) voyage to rescue her from the clutches of the inquisition!!!!!!!!!!

"One, two, three--"

"The Inquisition (Let's begin)
The Inquisition (Look out sin)
We have a mission to convert the Jews (Jew, Jew, Jew, Jew, Jew, Jew, Jew)
We're gonna teach them wrong from right.
We're gonna help them see the light
and make an offer that they can't refuse. (That those Jews just can't refuse)
"

"Confess, don't be boring.
Say yes, don't be dull.
A fact you're ignoring:
It's better to lose your skull cap than your skull (or your govalt!)

"The Inquisition (what a show)
The Inquistion (here we go)
We know you're wishin' that we'd go away.
But the Inquisition's here and it's here to stay!

The Short of It: Will performed his duties accordingly for ten years, Elizabeth stayed true to him for ten years, True Love for the win, Will is free of the curse and can now stay home with Elizabeth and Little Will and live Happily Ever After.

Flash of green light, remember? That meant his soul crossed back over from the Land of the Dead, just like it did when Jack returned.

LOL
OKAAAAAY

I was under the impression that Will would be captian
of the Flying Dutchman until there could be another

I took it to mean that he could only visit once every ten years. It was a tragic Ladyhawke ending, and all Jack's fault. If he could call it off after only one visit, then what the hell?

The inquisition? NOBODY EXPECTS THE INQUISITION.

Ahem...

Anyway, I was under the impression that Will was doomed to stay aboard the Dutchman as captain for eternity or until he finds a new captain. It's not just a curse, the problem is that the metaphysical realms need that sort of middle management to keep things running smoothly. tongue.gif He keeps getting to visit once every ten years, that's it, as far as I'm concerned.

Besides, what are they going to do with the fact that Will's heart is outside his body once the curse is lifted? huh.gif

Yeah so i didn't misunderstand.....
Civ and Slade do you know what i mean?

(read back if you must,or not)
See thats what i meant

when i said if they make a 4th
what were they gonna do to save Will

I understood the sentence as a curse that
Jack, Elizabeth and the gang woud have to

save him from as well as the whole fountain of youth thing

Rutger Hauer and a baby Matthew Broderick! Thanks for bringing back some fond memories of an eighties movie.

Bond-

Actually I was referencing the plot of Westward Ho, which I wish to God someone would get around to making into a movie. The way the Jesuits were treated as master spies was so cool. But yeah, you can't mention the inquisition without Monty Python or Mel Brooks coming up.

I don't understand how Will can come back, either, or what he does with his heart or who replaces him as captain of the FD, but according to Wikipedia, the writers of the movie confirmed that he's set and good to go and live on earth now because what's-her-face was loyal. Blargh. If someone can explain it to me, I'd appreciate it.

It's just like if you get sent to jail. If your girlfriend doesn't cheat on you they let you go after ten years. It's called parole. DUH!
