In this version, Vader repeats his less than iconic catch phrase "NOOOOOOOOOO" as he throws the Emperor into that pit.... WHY?

Yeah. It was a great moment because it had no words. You didn't know what Vader was going to do and even when he did it, it caught you by surprise.
Having that ruined by "NOOOOOO" truly blows. It is like there are only three fanboys left in the Cinema and Lucas is doing whatever he can to try and drive them out.
Although Lucas has long lost his magic touch for film, at least his architects have good taste:

I heard that neither Han nor Greedo will shoot in the Blu-ray version.
Now just as Greedo is about to pull his weapon, a bunch of cute children run into the cantina swarm all over Harrison Ford and shout "Uncle Solo... come back home with us" and all the aliens laugh and then a big Egyptian guy will be waiting outside and say "I thought I would find you there! Better than the United States Marines, eh?"

It's just a travesty is what it is. Didn't Georgie boy give a speech to Congress back in the day about how future civilizations would consider us barbaric if we went and changed pieces of art. At the time he was referring to the trend of simply coloring in black and white films. I suppose it's a different story though if he just goes back and changes the movies on a regular basis cause they're his.

As in, - Let's see how much shit we could possibly get away with, have these fools still stay faithful to the franchise, and make even more loads of cash. Every so often we'll make generally bad changes to the movies the fans know and love, and come out with a prequel trilogy that might have some high points but will blow in general. We'll then laugh about how they continually shell out loads of cash over and over and over and over and over again.

When he did the prequels especially Menace I reckon he was serious. In the 'Making of' videos you can see he thinks he's awesome, like when he strolls in and picks the Grevious picture.
But lately he doesn't seem to give a stuff, like his interview on The Daily Show where he told fans to get a life.
Amazes me toystores still carry this stuff, though not quite so much as they used to:
