First off, he refers to the canon as the stuff that came out after ROTJ.
Second, for the Clone Wars, he wanted the story of the 3-year war to be told between the films. AOTC would show how they began and ROTS would show how they end. While I would have liked to have seen some of the battles that were portrayed in the Clone Wars on the screen instead of Cartoon Network or Darkhourse comics, it is what it is. There are many mediums to tell a story these days including video games, internet, etc that were not around or as popular in 1980. Everyone on this forum bashes Lucas to hell for how poor his vison and writing were for the prequels. This was a time where he gave other creative people a chance to take his main idea and run with it and what the result was was some very well-written and interesting stories describing the events that happened during the Clone Wars. That is all I am saying.
Regarding me pimping for Lucas, the $40 or so I spent on some of the comics and novels I did read, I am sure makes a HUGE difference on a billionaire.
P.S. Spend less time punching "Caps Lock" and more time on the "Spelling and Grammar" feature. Make your posts that more coherent.
Homework revised oh snarky one. First off, check Lucas's many interviews the ONLY medium that Lucas considers canon is the films, because they reflect his "vision". It don't take much to check this out, only time, a brain etc. It therefore doesn't matter what comes before or after ROTJ, the films are canon not cartoons.
Second, Lucas f*****d up his story telling and so had to leave it to, what he calls expanded universe, cartoons, books etc to fill in what happened between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. However, I will repeat again, this does not in anyway make the books/cartoons official, they are there solely for the fans entertainment For consider this oh stupid one, the novel of ROTJ informs the reader that Obi-Wan was Owen Lars half-brother, Attack of The Clones however over turns this. Which is correct? Both cannot be both correct and canonical.
Oh and Mr Control Freak Lucas allowing creative writers a chance to run with his main idea etc, etc ... PLEASE!!! If the dialogue in Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, didn't convince you that Lucas's greatest struggle is with the English Language and not getting fans to accept the current prequel trilogy as part of Star Wars, then you really are as dim as you sound. That is all I am saying.
Yes, your $40 along with the millions of other pimps who shell out for cartoons/books etc that are not considered canon, do indeed make a HUGE difference to a billionaire, because they make him richer. Oh, and read those novels otherwise how are you going to know what happened between Attack of the Clones and Return of the Sith?
As you can see 'teacher' I have left off the CAPS LOCK button, and my spelling and grammar have dramatically improved. This post is coherent (although you seem to have replied to the other one without difficulty so perhaps it was not very difficult to follow); you however, will always be a misinformed asshole.
