Shows That Just Need To Die Seriously

It’s like watching something you love die a slow painful death - watching it rot and decay right before you eyes, crying out for you to end its misery, once and for all.
Sure you had some good times together! Like that time 3PO said ‘let the wookie win.’ Or when Grand Moff Tarkin made Leia watch her planet explode.
Oh yes, those were some good times alright. But now its over, and no matter how long you sit and watch it suffer, your never gonna get those good times back. Its best just to get out Pa’s ol’ sawed-off, and take it for one last walk in the woods.
Sure you’ll cry... but in the back of your mind, you’ll know that there’s no more suffering, on anybody’s part... and that its in a better place now.
…like comedy central.

The Christmas episode was Terrific, no denying that. ("Jesus, Mary and Joseph! What a great family!")
If you don't like it, don't watch.
But I hear where you're coming from. I never watched Home Improvement or Friends or Raymond, and those shows just seemed to go on forever. (but I didn't watch them- what say ought *I* have? )

I don't.
The day before yesterday however, I watched it, just to see if it still sucks.
It does.

Oh yes.
It's one of those classic just-because-you-can-doesn't-mean-you-should type scenarios. It happened to a lot of good or great shows. They dragged M*A*S*H out for 11 years, but it stopped being genuinely funny/entertaining when Radar left. Friends was mildly amusing for the first five years and then it really turned into a piece of garbage (the only thing that probably killed it was Jennifer Aniston's then paramount 'I am Mrs. Brad Pitt! Why the Hell am I still on TV?' ego). That 70s Show was funny at first but it was the kind of set up where the storyline would really only work for about 4 or 5 seasons, and they went for 8, and by year 7 they had pretty much fallen the part.
Now there are so many crappy later seasons of the Simpsons on TV that I can't even find reruns from when the show was actually GOOD. It's just painful now, and if it's painful to sit through I don't waste my time with it.
The networks can never let the good stuff go out while it's ahead.

True. Just think about what they did with those bloody awful Rumiko Takahashi series like Ranma 1/2 or Inu Yasha... blergh... seriously, they deserve to die a tedious brief death.

WHat about the star trek series? Enterprise was just like voyager, i mean they were supposed to have crappier technology but it all seem exactly the same.
I LAUGH AT YOUR STATEMENT.
1) They were both good series.
2) This is why I laugh... STAR TREK IS DEAD. I thought this was NEED to die. Not HAVE died.
