QUOTE (Mnesymone @ May 30 2005, 06:48 PM)The only Jedi to make any real dent in the Sith was Obi-Wan.
(Sith Lords are our specialty)
This is a great point to remember - Here's Obi-Wan making quips about fighting Sith lords when his very own jedi Master Kwai Gone (sorry for spelling) was killed right in front of him by a Sith.
I think he'd be more traumatized.
I don't think he'd ever make a Sith joke again. -
In Topic: Episode III makes Darth Vader a wuss

QUOTE (Obi-Ken Barbi @ May 26 2005, 09:14 PM)If Vader had some success killing jedi, it all happened between movies. I & II should have been crammed into one movie and episode III could have been devoted to Darth Vader's missions for Darth Sidious, purging the galaxy of rebel scum (which would also give more than five minutes for the transition to "I should arrest you" to "Yes master, I will kill all the younglings."
I guess Kurt's PVP had similar feelings:

QUOTE (Dunedain @ May 27 2005, 11:36 AM)Sure, simple. When Palpatine let out Satan's howl, it was a massive dark-side scream that stunned the Jedi, giving Palpatine the momentary advantage. Mace was the only one strong enough to be able to adequately defend himself from the effect, while still a little reeled by the dark-side "explosion". The others couldn't recover in time, giving Palpatine the chance to gig two of them, then turn and make quick work of squid-head who was just recovering.
I can see you've thought this over. Your explanation is better than mine and I think I'll cling to it so the movie makes more sense for me.
I'll watch this scene closely when I watch the movie again (which will probably be when it is on DVD). -

QUOTE (floppydisk @ May 27 2005, 09:14 AM)Screw him saber fighting, by that time he should've had Anikin defending him. I'm telling you, both Yoda and Palps could've avoided taking up sabers with better writing.
I agree completely with this. As master force uses they should have been able to battle on a pure energy level (or better writing). -
