If You Found Out That God Was Dead... what would you do?

If you found out God was dead, what would you do? What you go running through the streets buck naked? Would you happily embrace loved ones? Would you try extra hard not to die? Would you commit suicide in despair? Would you rob a bank?
Personally, I would sit down and consider the philosophical implications of living in godless world.

I would say "What? there really was a God? And now It's dead?"
And then I would retain all of my current moral-though-atheist values and ideals as I watched the christian world spin into an tornado of murder and rape. No more god to fear means a lot of raping be going on, I say.

As a Kids In The Hall fan, I must answer with this:
God IS dead! And we have since discovered that he was actually somewhat short. With God out of the way, thousands of philosophers are out of work.

I would take Nietzche's view and decide that it was time for humanity to evolve into the UBERMENSCH!
Barring that I think I would start on an epic power struggle to become the new overlord of the universe.

I once read a book wherein a scientis built a 'God gun', which consisted of a bunch of mirrors. The idea being that as the first thing God did in the Bible was to make light, therefore he must use light to interact with things, and hence we could interact with him through light. The idea of the book was the scientist was an atheist and was just doing it for the hell of it, but in the end he looks into everybodys eyes and sees that they're hollow, and realises what he's done.

It is most likely that I would shrug and say, "ah, okay."

Remember Emu's face, people; one day it's going to be on the news alongside a headline about blowing some landmark to smithereens, and then we can all sigh and say, "She was such a normal person".....
....We'd be lying though.

I would say "Told you so." Then carry on with sacrificing goats and praising the name of Belilal.
