Sime- Your men are rallying now. You speak the truth, and they have NO intention of falling to pirates during rape and pillage wednesday. They do indeed fire the forrest but it takes a while to get started. The English get wind of the smoke and heat and commence to rettreat. With them, however, is a young man in a Spanish uniform with a bleeding foot and some salty wounds. Yeah, I decided that he escaped just so he can move the plot a little and not be eaten by rats. Anyhow the Brits are trooping back to their ships and you can persue if you like.

Huzzah for sinking the ship! The holy water is good! Of course, when we make port, there will be extra rum and harlots for everyone before we set out again, whilst said holy water is carefully locked away in a chest in my cabin to which only I have the key for. And let's all celebrate twice as hard to spite the Pope and his silly hat, and in honor of this lovely pirate holiday. I'd like to converse with Cap'n Roughknuckles, and speed up lookin' for clues, as well. I'd like to know how a leaf could have gotten inside the rib cage, what with skin and muscle supposed to be in the way of it.

Barend - You're taking heavy fire from an English vessel that just sailed up. However you OWN the shit out of the boat you're dueling with at the moment. Their sails are dropping and they generally seem to be rather scared as they try to find a way to maneuvre away from you. You fail your dodge check though.
Two volleys from the British ships strike you, one of them hitting the powder room. Three of your zombie crewmen are permanently killed in the ensuing explosion. The Spaniards are all in chaos but they try to follow orders. Some of them are kneeling and praying and other such stuff though. Your rudder is shot in the second volley and your ship is now kind of effed up.
Slade- You do some hardcore conversing with Otal. Perhaps the pirate in question just had a poor knowledge of anatomy? It is a mystery. Meanwhile, some where far away, the popesense tingles and he knows that somewhere people who arent married are having a good time. He decrees a day of extra self-flagellation for Opus Dei in atonement.

This is going well... After sparing spanish lives the spainish post have ruined my suprise attack, I sell my soul to satan and all I get is a ship that wont sink and cool look for night time. Well this won't do... I wish there were some more evil to re-sell my sould to who'd give me some descent superpowers, but in the mean time... its time for an old fashioned boarding party.
I'll take a group throw some ropes and kill the crew by hand, while the remaining crew are to fire violently (to sink) the attacking ship.

Sime- Ok half the ships is, I think, two. Your men in the ships make decent attacks against the Brits, just going all over their assembled fleet. The British still outnumber you though, but you can see one of their ships is being boarded. Your Jesuit sense tingles. These boarders are evil! Odd that they should be fighting the evil British, but the devil works in mysterious ways.
Your men persuing on the ground are having a lot of trouble and they catch up to the British just as they reach their row boats and start back to their ships. The British fire a parting volley into the spaniards on the beach, killing many. The spaniards turn and flee into the jungle, many getting lost in the thick undergrowth.
Meanwhile the British notice your ships are operational and start to focus their fire on them. half the shots miss, but then Zatoichi's flagship takes aim and pummels your second ship, taking down masts and rudder in one go. That ship is now largely out of the battle since it can't aim.
In the good news though, one of your Jesuits comes to you with a mirror and you can see flashes from one of the ships in the battle. It's a coded transmission which, as masters of intrigue and codes, you can both discern to read "We are on the boat and have access to them. We can bring some of these men in for questioning and purification if your eminence wills it"

If I do recognize the unkillableness of some of my enemies, and realize that my efforts are mostly for naugh, I shall prepare to sail to where there is a greater need to have us. In actuallity I'm retreating a little bit. This is if anyone attemps to board and/or even gets to close.
If I have come to the reanimate conclusion then:
It seems the Spanish and their Jesuit masters have allied themselves with the minions of the underworld. Give no quarter to these purveyors of darkness and all things icky. We may have to regroup with the rest of the fleet if they get too close though. Send these dogs to a most deseved watery grave.

Barend- Operation kill all the crew isn't going too well. The British seem to have organized better now and have taken the bow of the ship, forming ranks and firing volleys at your crew. They've figured out to aim for the heads now, and British bodies are now joined by a few of your men who have been knocked down. Of course your people have greater endurance, and might hold out if not for something disconcerting coming from your boat. The Spaniards have risen up as one under the leadership of the Lieutenant, who holds a mirror in his hand. They've thrown many of your men overboard in their ambush and captured two or three, who are now being rowed towards the Spanish flagship. The British, seeing victory at hand, redouble their efforts to push you back even as more of their men fall in defense of their own ship.
Zatoichi- The black ship ceases fire as there seems to be a mutiny aboard, and one of Sime's ships was just abandoned. Many of the crew are blown apart when your cannons sink their lifeboats, and it seems the fight is now between your three veseels and Sime's flagship. One of your ships is towing a damaged Spanish galleon out of the harbor, and the other is struggling to fight off a party from Barend's ship. You can try to help them or continue focusing on Sime.

Focus on the flagship of the Jesuits. Train all canon on the ship, tearring as many holes in it as you can and moving up to it all the while. Prepare a few of the canons with chain shot and attempt to take out a mast or two. Prepare a boarding party. Once we are adjacent to the enemy ship, get on it. I'll be joining as well, I'm in the mood for some hand-to-hand fighting.
