The biggest gripe is the New Game+ feature. You can't play on Impossible until you beat Hard, and you can't change your difficulty after beating the game. That means you have to play through on Hard (which seems to be the best experience to me -- not so easy that you're not scared, not so hard that you get really frustrated) and if you want to do a run through on Impossible, you have to start over from scratch with none of the upgrades that made your Hard run tolerable. It's still a fairly minor gripe.
I'm very happy with this game. It gets almost everything right and the things it fumbles a little bit are more than forgivable. It really gives you exactly the right amount of ammo to make you conserve as much as possible; I never found myself going nuts with the shooting unless I was freaked out somehow.
From what I understand, Fable 2 is pretty good too, but I haven't tried it myself. It all comes down to whether you want to be scared shitless or frolic about.

[I] Liked the cutscene dubbing, by the way.
Aw, fuck it, Yahtzee wouldn't want to read all these posts when he has better thing to do like getting a blowjob.
Anyway...who thinks that I should buy myself SHV from Steam? I've already bought myself the entire fucking DOOM collection for 35 bucks and I might buy Kane and Lynch aswell. It's been long since I haven't played games.

Pity though, I can't view ZP vids on my computer for some reason. The screen just stays white. :'( .
Also, can someone please tell me what it is about Fable that is so good? I've only played one level of Fable and it was alright. Yet there is so much hype. Fill me in someone?

I wonder if that is anything to do with your problem, Maggot?
Also, Fable 1 was a great game, regardless of what anyone says; it just didn't live up to Molyneux's hype, which was as likely as The Chinese Democracy being released tomorrow with a bonus DVD featuring Duke Nukem Forever on it. But, Fable 2 actually does what Molyneux said it would: Imagine Oblivion but implemented a bit better and less scary for non hardcore RPGers.
I'll be honest, Dead Space is currently occupying most of my time, but what I've played of Fable 2 was absolutely fantastic.

The enemies are pretty creepy in their own way, but later in the game they kind of dropped the ball. Instead of designing new, scarier enemies, they painted the existing ones black and made them take more hits.
It's only a niggling issue, but an issue nonetheless.

Chinese Democracy has a release date again - 24th November. Although a single was meant to be released recently that didn't turn up, so who knows? Dr Pepper has offered to give every person in America a can of Dr Pepper if the album is released this year though.
Thinking about it, I'll give every person in the world a can of my own intestines if Duke Nukem is released next year.
And Josh - I'm on chapter four now, and I must say, it's great fun.

Glad I'm in good company, Spann. Chapter 5 is where things really pick up. I wanted to take the game slowly but after that chapter finished I pretty much rushed through to the end.
I'll go slower on my Impossible run.
