Seems to me that to the general public prequest were pretty much non-existent. Sure, they made GL even more wealthy and sold some Pepsi and Tacos, and they pushed origial Star Wars further down in the biggest grossing films of all time (together with ALL Harry Potter films), but their cultiral impact is pretty much zilch.
Last episode of House MD had House asking his patinet "When you were watching Star Wars, which side were you on" I am pretty sure he DID NOT mean "Were you on Trade Federation's side or Nabooian's side" or "Were you on Count Dookus side or Clones'/Sonic the Hedgehog's side" or "Were you on General Grievous's side or the guy with the mullet side?"
I am pretty sure it meant "were you on the evil empire's side or brave rebels's side".
Thus, I believe that the project was dropped due to universal lack of interest.

That's just a suspicion of course. He still may be planning a release, and may just be stalled in post-production. If he's funding this himself, any number of things could be happening to slow his progress, the most mundane of which being work.
But yeah. As for me, I think we said it all here, and now this fellow from Wisconsin, whose youtube channel is redlettermedia, is rehashing it all in video format. His observations are pretty funny, but there's a chronology to them. To follow all the gags about his reviewer character being an octagenarian serial killer addicted to prostitutes and gambling, it's best first to watch his Star Trek reviews, in chronological order. If you haven't seen that stuff, it's not like you won't "get" the joke in the Phantom Menace review, but it will seem strangely out of place. The pizza rolls gag will make no sense at all. But if you like Star Trek at all, those reviews are pretty good as well. Especially Nemesis.

And thanks to your hint I spent pretty hilarious Monday morning watching redlettermedia productions. Since I have left Czerka corporation my life abounds in unexpected pleasures.

But it's been pretty silent for a while.
The Red Letter Media thing is pretty good. I wish I had someone who knew how to do film editing, etc. and a good narrator to do my 78 (or however many) reasons articles on YouTube on my YouTube channel but sadly I do not.

Hahaha Chef! You only have some of the finest reviewers in the Star Wars community on this Forum. I'm sure Civ#2 might have a contact or two. I know Barend has had experience in this area and it's not like he doesn't like to appear in front of a camera. Your "Reasons..." would make a spectacular film set.

I like redlettermedia's "protagonist" experiment. It's a bit of a weighted test, of course, since he took characters from favoured and well-remembered movies and placed them aside those of movies that his average test subject had probably only seen once, and some time ago. But that said, I think his conclusion is still correct, that there is no decent character in TPM, and therefore no protagonist. But to be fair, I'd have as much of a hard time describing the characters of Neo and Trinity in the MATRIX films. The difference, IMO, is that while MATRIX (and really I just want to talk about the first one) was about a classic sci-fi (and Philosophy 101) concept met with a sequence of action scenes more than it was about character, TPM was just a sequence of action scenes without a storyline to tie them together. So even with total cyphers as protagonists, MATRIX has a level on which it works. TPM, not so much.

I agree with you on the Narration Civ, just wanted to remind Nate that there were a few people around who had the sort of experience he was describing.
I personally have no issue with the insanity of such a review. If anything the quirky nature of the Reasons to Hate if done well would make entertaining viewing and perhaps all the more so due to the time since release. I thoroughly agree with your last point though. People involved would be required to subject themselves to the movies again. Some sort of disclaimer would need to be signed to protect Nate from liability against any and all insane responses that crew may undertake as a result.

Hi there, just read your post. I'm the director of the film. Please check our website tomorrow for the official announcement of our world premiere at a major film festival. The project hasn't faltered at all. We simply wanted to keep things under the radar, but believe me, it's going to be a big one! Cheers!

Here's the new trailer (Much different from the original trailer):

Don't know if any of my interviews will make it into the movie but should be entertaining nonetheless. Likely MORE entertaining if my stuff is cut out.
