Bojangles: You need to get into the conference center just off of the dining room. Its locked in real life, and boarded up in the gory universe. How do you get boards off of doors?
To find said item, you need to unlock another area you haven't been. The solution to that problem is in the same room as the painting you just flashbacked off of.
Incidently, Bojangles? As in a cafe? Does the name "Amersham" ring a bell?

After acquiring the pills, you should go find the professor. You can find him looking over his showcase. You should talk to him more about the Defoe manor, perhaps there is an item that is being shown in that room that has nothing to do with the DeFoe manor.
If you need more than that then ask him about the shingle, feign interest, and then touch it once you are instructed to do so.
As for me, I'm stuck at the end. In the final room can someone tell me what to type to win?

In your last flashback, you may have heard something about an inn called the "Unicorn". Trilby said it rang a bell.. some where in the conference room... Maybe someone in the conference room knows something about the unicorn?
Should you have already done this, then someone may be waiting for you in the bar.

Just wanted to double post to say how pleased I am with this game.
The only bug I could think of: No matter what combination of words I tried, the game would not let me look/use/blah the wine bottle.
My only other tiff is that Trilby's face looks like it was made out of 45 degree angles. Is his face supposed to seem shallow from this current game, or because he's been so stressed over the years? Or is supposed to be angular? Or am I not supposed to be anal?
I've played all of your games that I know of (except for that special episode of 1213..) and I read your site regularly. This game is prime, Ben. Just prime. The only thing that could have made it neater would be: Something to hint you as to what you've been doing (since, if you stop playing for a week and come back, you'll have to start over again, since it requires you to know specific names which would be forgotten); Longer, more complicated puzzles/trials; More gentlemanly thieving.
A Trilby set pre-5 Days a Stranger would be keen.
Any reason you decided not to go with the "# Days a <obt>"? One Day a Loonie would have been just dapper.

WAY too many questions here. ULTIMATE SPOILER WALKTHROUGH (note: this was written by memory, don't be surprised if/when details are missing)

I finally finished it!!
Incredibly well done. Quite an amazing feat what you have done in these animations and the story itself is the best of all. Marvelous. I am truly mesmerized and find it painful but worth the wait for a sequel.
This game had me biting my tongue out of horror/surprise/amazement more often than any other AGS game I've ever played - and I've been playing Ben's games since BDDU.

As soon as I played through the scene in Simone's flat, I knew it was a good game. That was excellent. I haven't finished it yet though, due to the fact its creeping the hell out of me.
By the way. I'm going to presume that Abed Chahal is an ancestor of Captain Barry Chahal of 7 Days a Skeptic? (if somebody already pointed this out, sorry, I'm avoiding reading the thread for fear of spoilers).
