Hmm, only level 4. But it pisses me off that you only ever get 10 or so gold for a successful attack, but you lose even one game and BAM! 50 gold down. It pees me off no end.

Go to fight, select show all, select sort via money, go to page 50-60 odd, find a guy with money but low stats, get in behind him and flail the mouse up and down quickly for lots of cheap hits. Then kick his arse a second time.
