I feel obliged to express my hatred of the prequels at every turn. The fact that you don't see the high shit factor of the prequels is not my problem.

I never saw Forrest Gump so I wouldn't know. I'm not very fond of Samuel L. Jackson's line from Unbreakable - "They call me Mr. Glass."
Due to my recent outlash of flamings against you jariten, I must humbly request that Star Wars quotes be barred from this thread. From now on, only non-Star Wars related quotes be used. If one must dispute a Star Wars quote, it should be taken up in the Star Wars forum. What say you, J?

I still think SW lines should be barred from this thread and reserved for the SW section.
Where's the village?

-Vin Deisel, from the worst movie ever XXX
I almost puked up my pizzaria pretzel Combos after I heard that line.
--They Call Him Rick: I'm telling you, it's not that bad

We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight!" We're going to live on! We're going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day!
probably qualifies as one of the cheesiest lines in cinematic history.

I assume you watched the full-colour remake that was released in the 90's? That version was horrible. You have to watch the original film first; it was much, much better than that newer piece of crap.

-loosely quoted from Fast and the Furious (which, coincidently, had no good quotes).
although we are supposed to refrain from remarking on bad SW quotes, I have to mention the worst ever:
"I wish I could wish this all away"
-guess who? Anakin to Padme (when she's wearing her dominatrix outfit).

-The Kid, Matrix: Revolutions.
"To Hell with our orders"
-Data, Star Trek: First Contact.
Boo and double-boo. I still don't understand what everyone's beef is with the kid. He wasn't prominent enough to be hated, and I ended up liking him, along with Zee and Chara and the rest. I liked almost all the dialogue from the Matrix sequels. The action in Reloaded sucked, and the rave scene sucked, and it was way longer than it had to be, and Revolutions concentrated a bit too much on the action, but I thought the dialogue was pretty good all the way around.
And I like the Data line. It's a throwaway line, but Data's just too cool not to like it.
Anyway, I propose, "A diversion!" Legolas' brilliant insight into Aragorn's very complicated plan to, how do you say, divert Sauron's attention from the hobbits. Well done, Legolas. Well done.

i like data, but it's just the way he takes a breath before saying it... too much focus... especially after he said "shit" in the movie before...
but the kid... the poor 'mouse' replacement...
he's in one of those mechs, and hundreds of sentinals are flying at him and it zooms in on his face, and he delivers the line before opening fire... it was awful, and lame, and cheesier than a cheese stick dipped in cheese whip and sprinkled with paramasen.
it has nothing to do with his character...
