It refers to the fact that everyone takes everything WAY too seriously. Stuff like this happened all the time, and sadly, the writers were completely serious too. The first through third panels are spot-on, while the "Where does he get this power?!!" quote is about right too.

I wish someone made a full-fleged comic out of this.

I've only ever seen BDZ briefly, and in one episode Goku spent 30 minutes charging up an attack, the whole time the announcer\narrator dude was going crazy, Then the episode ended.

There was blood on the remote control that evening, I can tell you.

I watched the first season of DBZ when I was six. I point that out to people who say that they still watch it because I do not like the show.

That's the same reason that I hate it. Plus the story is the same every time. "Oh, no! Someone even more powerful than the last villan showed up! We're not strong enough, let's train! Oh, yay! We kicked his ass!"

Meh, I always liked the old school Dragon Ball. Goku had to work for his wins back in the day, and they actually fought instead of standing around throwing fireballs at eachother.

That's the episode I was thinking of. There have been a few DBZ episodes that I liked,; I.E. the ones where Goku's son tries to live a normal life whilst being a superhero.

I find Lucas' merchandising more sad than funny, I'm afraid.

The picture is an equation for working out all humor in the known universe where y is the number of darth vaders on a hot day and x is the number of confused looking Japanese kids wishing they were somewhere else

you can plot it on a graph. The line shoots straight up!!

Which Darth Vader? JEJ or the green cross code man? (the later being on the board of directors of my home football team)
