Thanks everyone for the nice comments.
Barend, if it helps to still picture me with a Heinekin and a drunken look on my face- I don't mind.
And no, I didn't get the picture taken for Thanksgiving, the shop was just having a holiday special and we took advantage of it. -

QUOTE (SimeSublime @ May 12 2005, 05:57 AM)How's Jade Empire. It looked really good, except that it's for XBox. Rather a large stumbling point for me.
I was addicted to this game for a while, although as of late I've not been playing it as religiously.
I think Jade Empire is a great game. The graphics are fantastic (similar in style to Fable). The fighting style/battle system is easy to grasp and quite satisfying. The only issue I've had so far is that (after 40 hrs) the battles do get somewhat repetitious. "A" to attack, "B" to evade, rinse, repeat. But there is still strategy involved, and some really challenging, fun bosses. Load times aren't too bad, considering that the maps are gigantic. I've played about 40 hrs so far, and from what I've heard, I'm about 2/3 done.
It would be a good game to rent, since you could feasibly complete it in a weekend (plus maybe a day or two), as long as you didn't do every single sidequest. It has replay value too, since you can -just like Fable- be good or bad, follow different paths, fall in love with different people, and get a different ending sequence.
Oh, and one of the voice actors is John Cleese. -

QUOTE (looktothesky @ May 11 2005, 02:58 PM)But the movies are only on UMD discs....
I know, but I imagine you'd be able to rent them pretty soon. I just think it would be cool to be able to watch movies on long drives, vacations, slow days at work, etc.
