The demons in that film weren't really that evil, if you call 'Cackling like loonies and taunting people in an annoying voice' evil.
Also, the girl that got raped by a tree... that must have really sucked. Imagine what it would have been like if she was a virgin... losing it to your boyfreind is OK, a rapist pretty bad, but a TREE? Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn.

They are excellent movies. Sam Raimi's camera angles are friggin' brilliant. By looking at his camera work you can tell he worked they're tail-ends off making this movie happen. I wish independed filmakers these days had the motivation like Bruce and Sam did.
And, actually, I'm glad they didn't use the chainsaw in the movie. It would have probably been labeled as a "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" rip off at the time if it did.

Picked up Army of Darkness on DVD the other month after reading YZ's review. A lot to enjoy definatly. I used it recently in my English Lit/Lang AS exam when we had to do a review of something.
Got the result of that exam the other week. 90/90, and overall, my English AS was an A. I dedicate it to Yahtzee. Nice one dude.

all 3 of the evil dead films kicked arse. Some people just don't like AOD because some of the comedy is a bit immature and whilst I agree that AOD definitly doesnt have a patch on the other 2, it's still a cool film. which ending to AOD did people generally prefer? personally i really liked the one where he makes it back to his own time pretty much just because of the whole S - Mart scene. kills a demon in a kickarse way, says the one liner and getts the girl. This combined with the fact that it's ash doing it all just makes it magical.
