i was just wondering (after looking at readers website) how many musicians we have here, and to what extent...
I myself am the band HYPOID
[SIZE=1][which is still in the early days of success, having been on compilations and tributes with bands like; My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, KMFDM, Bile, Godhead, Chris Connelly (Ministry, Revolting Cocks, Pigface), Grim Faeries, Tub Ring - I don't know why I included that it wont impress more then 2-3 of you, if that][SIZE=1]
and on the side...
CANNIBALINGUS (my comical black/thrash metal band)
DeadfeeD (my sci-fi obssessed electronic soundscape project)
ORC (a medieval soundtrack thingy)
WASABI NOSE BLEED (a sort of sporatic hardcoresque techno/dub thing with a french guy) :yuck:
and others...
so what about the rest of you?

- Jesus H. Skullfuck (comedy/instrumental)
- Private Pile (still in the process of forming, but it's probably going to be metal)

I'm a singing percussionist who has played with the likes of David Haas, Gary Daigle, Bobby Fisher, and their colleages. If you've never heard of these people, that's fine. If you have, you know what fine folks they are.
My style of playing is less "thrash" and more "sensitive." I'm grateful for the opportunities music has given me, and I respect the musicians I've been fortunate enough to accompany. I would be happy to give up my day job as graphic designer to be a studio musician.
When I jam in the rumpus room downstairs, buds and I emulate the tradition of the beatles, bowie and crowded house. I've tried being in a band, "Uncle Lumpy," but it didn't work out. I play in church every week, however.
without music, there would be a lot less pleasure in our lives.

Or I'll end up getting a job washing cars and spend every moment of my life wondering why I got into the technology field in college until I commit suicide via toothpaste at age 30 in my parents' basement. Who knows?

Barend, if you wanna collaborate, you know i'm ready and willing! i know it's hard over the net, but it's possible! That's how the smash LoC hit was created.

Right now, I'm in a melodic rock covers band, a ska covers band, and a heavy metal band. I want to have a crack at some techno metal, though...

And how often to strings break on the guitar. They are under repeated deflection, so you can only think they last about 2 weeks.
