I like the groovy spirit of rebellion that is ingrained in our natural heritage. Try to take my gun and I'll shoot you. Try to take my fireworks and I'll go to an Indian reservation, where people we tried to exterminate have now found a new livelyhood helping the ancestors of people who tried to kill them blow their hands off. Start all the unjust wars you want, but if you tell me to go I'm off to Canada. Take my liquer I'll go out and buy some bathtubs and corn.
I also like some of the literary minds America has produced, allowing a lot of people who, in former times, wouldnt have been noticed til they were long dead (like Nietzche or Beethoven) to be recognized and make a name for themselves here, except for that brief time when we tried prohibition and they all got pissed and left for Cuba or France.
Oh and

The fact that people can make statements that are vague and have little sense in them, but still be able to make those statements at random and then kinda wander off. In that tradition...
