ended on a cliffhanger... that becomming the final episode as a result of cancellation was quite a substantial downer! thankyou BBC for fucking us around again... and PUT DVD by season box sets out you lazy cu-
well anyway...
Quark
great sci-fi sitcom about an intergalactic garbage ship. I don't rightly know that it was cancelled... but it never saw a single re-run... what's up with that... it's not comercially available on DVD either... probably because those brilliant smaktard execs are up there going; "I don't think it would be comercially viable to release this one, as it has no ratings recorded for its re-runs"
again.. it's much like the argument for the BBC not putting out Dr.Who DVD box sets... "let's see if the fans will buy the few random episodes we've released of a show that NEEDS TO BE WATCHED IN ORDER!!!!"

I was shocked no-one else brought it up. It was an excellent Sci-Fi show which had a great deal of humor, without being a comedy, a balance hard to strike. Plus, it's just fun to use Companion as a verb.

Yeah that show kicks ass. I liked the movie too, Serenity. Good stuff. It was actually one of them most enjoyable films I’ve seen at the movies in a long time.

Yeah, but you live in the US, it takes 3 months to get one episode down here. So we only see really old episodes if we are lucky.

Mission Hill
The Oblongs
Home Movies
Great shows that should have never been cancelled. Thankfully, I have all but one season of Home Movies, and The Critic to keep me from missing them too much.
i have the critic collection. pure magnificance.
i suspect it, like futurama, was cut down in its prime to punish the too popular to cancel simpsons for their japes about fox.
The Oblongs only had a premiere here, and they announced its cancellation before it finished...
some rich dude who died recently didn't like it aparently...

Arrested Development was cancelled, but at least they had a bit of warnnig, and were able to wrap it up ok in time.
Sliders, on the other hand, went too long. When the main cast save Remrant all dropped out, the show just turned to shit.
JM's official press secretary, scientific advisor, diplomat and apparent antagonist?

But it left me wondering... What's up with Book?
No, seriously, they killed him off without telling us why he could get into the Governmenty thing with his ID card. What was his secret?
I loved when he said that the bible is a might fuzzy on the subject of kneecaps.
Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention that I officially considered it over after that, and what was on was some cheap knockoff.
