Hello, everybody! The long-awaited server upgrade is days away (well, at least 5 days away, perhaps as many as 14)!

What does this mean?

1.) The site should be getting a big upgrade in our database and php software as well as new hardware which should, overall, increase speed in accessing the site (this includes all sites hosted on our server such as Lance & Eskimo and [url=http://www.heccubus.com].

2.) As soon as the hardware upgrade is in place we will, once again, attempt the upgrade to the latest Invision software (check out the new features here).

3.) Also, this will make my life (and the life of Carlos 9) a lot easier.

There will be a short downtime while we upgrade the forum software (the database is enormous) so I will try to post as much advanced warning as possible. I will get it up and running ASAP so if I get the green light and end up having a free day the notice may be very short. Apologies in advance.

I just hope this upgrade will end better than the previous one.

The server migration should wrap up in the next few days. If I get a hance I'm going to perform the Invision upgrade this week. If my schedule doesn't match up with the move to the new server it will probably take place next week.

So, tentatively we'll say next Wednesday, November 7.
