You get an apartment in his tower with a safe and a robot butler. Seriously, I don't regret it at all. Not one bit.
Although, I did seduce that guy, so he may have just set me up because he liked my maracas.

(Best part in Fallout 3: Tranquility Lane. Fuck I love that place.)
Oh and barend, you have to get into the Citadel to get training for PA and they give you a suit in perfect condition when you join. You have to follow the main quests to get access to the Citadel. And as David said, you get MKII and Tesla armor when you encounter the Enclave anyways.

1. It's so unbelievably hard to navagate around the city (unless I'm missing something). I keep coming up against blocked off roads, and when I go through the subway, I normally end up miles from where I wanted to go.
2. This is pretty much the same thing as the first, your character walks soooooo slowly. It takes ages to get anywhere. If there's a stat that let's you sprint (or atleast run faster), I'm all up for that.

And yeah, having to walk around that much sucks balls. Oblivion could've gotten away with no fast travel options to places you've never visited, but here, the landscape isn't really that interesting and there are no dungeons to explore on your way. Or, if there are, you can bet it's too tough for you at this point, and you'll have forgotten about it by the time you level up enough.
My problem with the game is the over-simplified character system, as in you can beef yourself out in pretty much every area by the end, plus the fact they've included scenarios that cannot be beaten unless you have a certain amount of a certain skill. This isn't supposed to happen in the Fallout universe, a task should always have multiple solutions, one of which is suitable for your current character.
However, the fact you can make your enemies' heads explode in a slow-mo shower of sticky crimson and hints of brain makes up for most of these faults.

I guess slo-mo head explosion does make up for it.
Actually, I think I need to start the game again. I just realised I've been making mistakes all over the place. My character, although can kick the crap out of most stuff, she's clearly not suited to the world. I think I'll make a Man-With-No-Name-esque badass mofo.
Also, being so evil does have its downsides as I've started to notice. More and more bounty hunters keep coming after me. It seems like every other time I get out the subway system now, they they're waiting for me. It's no problem killing them, just kinda sucks being paranoid about being attacked by badass mofos at any moment.

Yeah, that got me at first but you have to activate all the items in a certain order. You'll notice if you've done it wrong when you hear a 'error' kind of beep when you activate the wrong one. I think the order goes: radio, pitcher, garden gnome, pitcher, cinder block, something something...
Eh, I can't remember now.
Well, after a while of walking about I stumbled across a scrap-yard full of raiders and guess who! Dogmeat!!! Ah, I never get tired of old dogmeat, this time you can get him to hunt down ammo, weapons or chems for you as well as go home to vault 101 or stay put. Good companion after I payed 1000 caps for a crappy Mister Gutsy model from some old-ass grey dude, only to find my robot dead after I left him alone for a bit.
For the transportation problem, they should have included the ability to repair vehicles so you can get a car like in Fallout 2.

Any clues on where you found Dogmeat?

OMG THAT IS THE BEST MAP I'VE EVER MADE
EDIT: Oh fuck, that is extremely gay.... It didn't work. Alright I'll upload a pic.
K, the place that says SCRAPYARD is it... just so you didn't know... Oh and the red arrow isn't pointing towards where it is...
Now, this is what I had originally planned on doing but failed. My almighty map...
